Complaint: Misleading Software and ********************* Request for Refund and Subscription Cancellation I purchased a license for **********************, a software that claims to identify corporations accessing a website, allowing users to track and follow leads. The subscription cost was $500 per month, a significant investment based on the expectation of receiving valuable and actionable data. However, after using the software for several months, I found the data to be highly inaccurate. The software only shows that a company accessed the website along with a city locationbut the city listed is incorrect and does not reflect the actual location of the access. Additionally, tracking down the specific individual within the company who accessed the site is impossible, as the software provides no way to filter or pinpoint a relevant contact among thousands of employees.Upon further investigation, I discovered hundreds of fake positive reviews, which appear to be designed to mislead potential customers and obscure the softwares fundamental flaws. The promises made by the company are simply unattainable, making this product feel like a ******* make matters worse, customer support has been completely unresponsive. Despite sending multiple requests for assistance and clarification, I received no meaningful response. When I finally decided to cancel my subscription, I sent a formal email requesting cancellationonly to be told that they would not process my request.I am now taking the necessary steps to dispute the charges, demand a refund, and ensure the cancellation of my subscription. This experience has been deceptive, frustrating, and financially damaging, and I strongly urge others to avoid Lead Forensics at all costs.Initial Complaint

************ has charged us an additional $450 last month ON TOP of the $823 we pay a month out of nowhere. The service they provide is also a scam. They watched our website traffic for a month and showed us all these leads we would be getting. We have had this for over a year, and have seen maybe 5 leads the entire time. They wont let us cancel it, ************ is a scam and will absolutely take your money and deliver zero results.Initial Complaint

Lead Forensics has been repeatedly hammering our e-mail servers with solicitation offers via deceptive means (constantly changing their domain name to avoid spam filters). We have asked them numerous times to remove our addresses including ************************* and ******************** as well as all other addresses from this same domain. This business is sending emails in violation of the CAN-SPAM act and not acting responsibly. The refuse to remove our addresses from their database and take action as required by law.Initial Complaint

The company continues to generate new email addresses and blast me with spam emails multiple times a day, every day, for months now. I can't get them to stop and there's no unsubscribe button on the bottom of the email.Business Response

Please accept our most sincere apologies if you have received unwanted email communications from our team. We only ever intend to communicate with professionals within a business setting who are likely to have an interest in our products. This communication is dispatched on the grounds of Legitimate Interests in compliance with GDPR. There is a mechanism to enable you to opt-out of receiving communications at the bottom of all of our emails which is processed within 72 hours. I have taken the action to have the email address that you have registered with the BBB suppressed from our systems, which means that you will receive no further communication to that email address. If you have any other email addresses that you wish to have unsubscribed please either follow the instructions at the bottom of the email communications that you have received to each specific email address or contact us at data-************************************* with a list of all associated email addresses and we'll ensure that they are each suppressed. We absolutely do not want you to receive unwanted email communications from any member of our team, and we want to put this right for you as soon as possible to prevent you from receiving any further correspondence. Please do, therefore, feel free to reach out directly so that we can resolve this quickly for you.Customer Answer

This business is using aggressive and abusive email tactics to solicit business. No matter how many of their email addresses get blocked on a daily basis I am receiving at least 15 to 20 emails a week from new names and accounts trying to solicit a response to use their business for new leads and consumer information. I have attempted to unsubscribe multiple times but continue to receive new emails regardless of asking for them to cease and desist or remove my email from their files. I have looked at the BBB website and it appears this is the case amongst almost every compliant and post on this site along with their shady business practices if someone does in fact use their service. My attached evidence are only the ones I have blocked and received recently the rest have been deleted consistently but I assure you the number of emails I have deleted number in the several hundred.Business Response

Please accept our most sincere apologies if you have received any unwanted communications from our team, this is absolutely not the experience we'd want you to have of our brand. Please be assured that we take complaints such as this extremely seriously and we have opened an internal investigation to understand what has gone wrong here. I can confirm that the email examples you have received are indeed from our team, however we only send email communication at a cadence of 2 emails per month. If you are receiving more emails than that, the likelihood is that you have multiple email addresses associated with your inbox, which are all contained within our CRM system. To prevent this from happening moving forward, I have suppressed both your email address and domain from our system, which will mean that no further emails will be sent to any email address at your domain. If you have multiple domains, please could you get in touch with us at data-************************************* and we will suppress those also.
In terms of how our business operates, we have multiple divisions, hence why you will see a few different sender addresses. These all use the same centralized suppression system, and so once we suppress you once, the action will be carried out across all of our business divisions. Please note however that blocking a sender, doesn't alert us to your request, that action applies locally to you. It is always best to use the unsubscribe mechanism at the bottom of the email, or make your request directly to us at data-*************************************, so that we can ensure that your request is carried out to the fullest extent across all of our systems.
We absolutely only wish to communicate with people in business, within the working day who are likely to benefit from software such as ours, and our messages only ever offer you a free trial of our software so that you can assess whether there is any business value for you. We are truly sorry if these messages have been unwelcome, and we will do everything we can to put this right for you and prevent you from receiving further communications from our team.
If you wish to discuss the matter further, or indeed provide us with additional domains that will need to be suppressed, please do feel free to contact us at data-*************************************
Lastly, please be assured that whilst we understand that you have received unwanted communication from our team, our business is in no way 'shady', we have over ****** customers globally, a team of over 700 and our software is multi-award winning, and so you can be sure that your request and data will be handled with the utmost professionalism.
We hope that this helps to put your mind at ease somewhat, you have our commitment to fixing this for you.

I am rejecting this response because: Not because since posting this BBB compliant you have stopped sending the emails but because your response is contradictory to itself. You state you only send 2 emails a month but then you say that you have multiple divisions using the same information to generate sales to your business. So in turn what you really mean to say is that each division only sends 2 emails per month which could result in ***** emails a month if not more if several people at each division send out emails together. It is obvious what you are doing and as a business and I don't blame you but don't lie in your response and say there is nothing shady about what you are doing or else you wouldn't have several different email addresses that use different names for your business after the @. Own up to yourself and how you conduct business to make your money and this is simply about the emails the actual product you provide to people who accept your services seem to get the exact same round about speech that defends yourself by technicalities in the law and business practices.
Sincerely,
********
