They are a rip off. They say flat rate of $3 for service fee, but take a 20% to 50% cut of the money used to buy bitcoin.Bitcoin Depot Operating, LLC Response

We are sorry to learn that this consumer was dissatisfied with her overall Bitcoin Depot experience. When a transaction is initiated at one of our kiosks, the amount of cryptocurrency that will be received in exchange for the amount of cash inserted is clearly displayed on the screen. This amount includes all applicable fees, and prior to processing, the customer must agree to our terms and conditions and confirm the transaction. The ability to cancel the transaction is available at any time prior to reaching the confirmation screen. More information regarding our fees can be found at ************************************************************; Ms. ****** walked up to a kiosk and placed an order. She selected the wallet address that she wanted the cryptocurrency that she ordered to be sent. She paid for that order, and we filled the order accordingly. Our terms and conditions were clearly defined prior to the completion of the transaction. We expressly deny any wrongdoing with regard to fulfilling the order. Thank you!Review from Kayla B

**WARNING: AVOID BITCOIN DEPOT AND THEIR KIOSKS**I want to share my experience with Bitcoin Depot and strongly urge anyone considering their services to think twice. While their kiosks advertise a $3 transaction fee, this is misleading. Many users, including myself, assume the displayed amount reflects what will be credited to their wallets. After inserting $200, I was shocked to receive only $139an astonishing 31% loss!Bitcoin Depot seems to rely on the assumption that most customers wont double-check the *** amount displayed. They present information in a way that can easily lead you to believe youre getting a fair deal, but hidden fees often result in significant financial ********* protect yourself, always verify the *** amount displayed before finalizing your transaction. A quick online search for "*** to USD" can help confirm if youre being shortchanged.Additionally, starting July 1, 2024, the Honest Pricing Law (SB 478) will make it illegal for businesses to advertise prices without including all required fees. This raises serious questions about Bitcoin Depots pricing practices. While they claim that fees are clearly displayed and customers must agree to their terms, this does not absolve them of responsibility for the confusion many users face. In conclusion, if you use Bitcoin Depot, be cautious. Protect your hard-earned money and consider alternative services to avoid hidden fees and deceptive practices. Your financial security is essential, so stay informed.Bitcoin Depot Operating, LLC Response

Bitcoin Depot is a total scam. After depositing $2,200, only $1,500 showed up in my account. After talking to a representative they explained that the $700 missing went to fees. Nowhere during the process of using the *** were these fees described clearly. Instead it listed that the fee was for $3 USD. It seems that they are there only for laundering money, because that is the only use that it could be good for. It makes much more sense to deposit the cash into your bank account first and then sending it to your Bitcoin account. Avoid it all costs!Bitcoin Depot Operating, LLC Response

They use deceptive marketing and business practices to lure you into using the *** as a quick and easy way to buy bitcoin and then they steal your money by only showing you the balance you are buying in bitcoin (which is volatile and changes from day to day) and give you a small amount. Someone needs to regulate these guys or throw them in jail. What a horrible thing to do to people.Bitcoin Depot Operating, LLC Response

My elderly parents were scammed by scammers using one of their machines. Most people who understand BitCoin and cryptocurrencies are not using these machines. I would wager the majority of people who are purchasing crypto through these are likely being scammed as the price hike is around 28%. There are likely a lot of scams that take advantage of these machines. As far as I am concerned, profit for this company is riding on the back of scammers. They need to be held accountable and actually take fraud seriously. I will be taking legal action against this company and attempting to rally people for a class action lawsuit. This company is profiting from scammers. If their system allows this to happen there needs to be some reasonable action by them to attempt to stop it from happening. If you are interested in banding together to do something about this; I created the email address below. The email is masked because they won't let me put one in. Remove the * from the @ and the . for the address. If you have been scammed or know someone send an email.I have contacted the local authorities and working to get the attorney general from my state involved. takeemdown881*gmail*comBitcoin Depot Operating, LLC Response

It was unfortunate that your parents were scammed by a third-party unrelated to either you or our company. Our company has worked diligently with you to refund the transaction fees. Our kiosks have a number of posted and onscreen scam warnings, and we have live customer support available seven days per week. Scam activity is less than one percent of our transaction activity. We have been making updates to our refund process, and have since issued Ms. ******** refund. We consider this matter resolved.Review from Janice B

I used their ATM machine at *******, ** on September 18, 2023.They denied my wallet after I inserted $2900 into machine. After 30 minutes of talking to them, they agreed to give a full refund. They told me it would take **** days to issue check. Here it is November 12, 2023 and I am still waiting for my refund. Every time I text or call, I get the same answer, "it's in process" ! I am 70 and now have medical bills to pay. I am beyond mad at this point, these people are are scammers. I hope everyone reads these warnings and puts them out of business.Bitcoin Depot Operating, LLC Response

Our records reflect that ************** initiated two transactions on her own account on September 14, 2023, for a total of $5,800.00 USD. ************** contacted Bitcoin Depot Customer on September 14, 2023 to state that her transaction was unable to be completed. Her transaction and funds were held because the wallet she entered was associated with another account. ************** claimed she was sending funds to a wallet that she did not control, which is a Terms of Service violation. We have been making updates to our refund process and have since issued Ms. ****** refund. We consider this matter resolved.Review from Kenny S

It is unfortunate that slow network activity delayed the transfer of Bitcoin into your wallet. Our records reflect that ************ initiated one transaction for a total of $1,000.00 USD on November 08, 2023, on his own account. As of November 09, 2023, **************** transaction was completed and posted to the blockchain. ************ did contact our Bitcoin Depot CEO between the time of the transaction and the time the transaction was posted. During those calls, ************ made harassing and threatening statements on voicemail. These statements were outrageous and beyond tolerable such that the matter has been turned over to local law enforcement. We have banned his account and no longer want to do business with ************ due to his behavior.
