In ****, my husband and I obtained this property through a company called **** for a rent to own contract. Shortly after, **** went bankrupt so the company above, Hometown Communities, bought out the property. We have had issues with them from the beginning from rude staff, untimely responses and continuous issues with the wells on the property. However, our main concern came in April of ****. In April of ****, we finished paying off the trailer (we are now in April of ****). For two years now we have been trying to obtain our title for said trailer. Each time this company has been contacted, we have either been lied to or have been given the run around. At first, they were saying that **** still had the title (which we later found out was not true), then they said they were having to go through the DMV to obtain the title: which initially they said would only take 120 days. However, after getting the DMV and local police involved, we found out that nothing was being done to obtain our title and furthermore, the company that owns Hometown, ******** *****, has a lien against it. The officer that works for the DMV has explained everything to this company about what needs to be done and they still have not done what was asked. They, in fact have, stopped replying to her emails as well as mine. We have never missed a payment with this company and have never even been late on rent and this is how they treat us. For two years now we have missed out on several opportunities to move and or sell the trailer due to not having the title. We now have to take a civil lawsuit out against them, spending even more money, to get something they should have had ready for us two years ago. DO NOT RENT OR BUY FROM THIS COMPNAY. How they are still in business I will never understand!
