I bought a 1984 Land Rover 110, had it delivered to fast lane prior to COVID for a LS motor conversion. Paid $20,000 up front , My LR is still not complete and all I get is the run around and excuses. I think I have been more than patient with this shop. Not very happy with the service or lack of communication. I try to find updates but nothing seems to be updated, not sure why they would run a business like this. Just deliver my car

I have a classic car took it to this shop to have what is known as an LS swap thats was to be completed within 6Months. It's now almost 2 years later and I don't have my vehicle. I have attempted several times to resolve this matter to include calling the police to ****** me in to get answers about my car. I've been promised as you can imagine several time it would be completed and its 2 months shy of 2 years and they have been paid in full to complete the work. This company has taken my money and failed to complete the job.

My dodge charger was dropped off to Fast Lane on Feb.15, 2023 for an SE V6 to V8 swap. The total cost was $23,000 which was required to be paid up front prior to any work being completed. We were not provided a completion date but were told progress was being made but that they were very busy. Since then, communication has been extremely limited. We sent a certified letter in January 2024 requesting an estimated completion date. The response received was that they had received our letter but were just very busy. They even indicated at one time they were not accepting new jobs so that they could finish current ones. This appears to be untrue based on the ****** reviews of people stating that the had just dropped off their cars at *********. We continue to call, text, and email them with no response. We have driven to the shop several times but the door is closed and no one answers the door. We just want our car back.

    Hello,

Your dodge charger is in for a V6 to 6.4 Hemi Conversion. Unfortunately your car came in while we were still dealing with the aftermath of COVID 19. From supply chain shortages and back ordered parts. Due to the large amount of parts and custom work/wiring required for the job, your build has taken a lot longer than we anticipated. Our conversion technicians are doing their best to finish the vehicle, we hope to have it finished soon, and hopefully we can apply a credit towards your account so that we can help you in the future. Our conversion techs have stopped taking in conversions until your vehicle is completed. We only like to do one at a time.

We apologize for the delays, and thank you for your patience. Your once V6, but now 6.4L Hemi Swapped charger will be back in your possession soon!

I am rejecting this response because:

I have repeatedly asked for the car back. It has been over a year and a half. The company has changed locations but has not forwarded us any phone number or business address. We have emailed but got no response. I have now reported the car as stolen.

    Sincerely,

The work was done between March and august 2023. We brought our ***** in when the lifters failed to get a stage 1 cam installed but they put in stage 2. They had the vehicle for 6 months continuously saying it was one issue after another. We could never get them to call us back and had to physically go up there numerous times. We finally left with the vehicle after they claimed it was good after they replaced both fuel pumps and thermostat and rear main seal. We took it to another shop because it made it home but would not run again once home. Come to find out The head gaskets were blown. Not only that they billed us to replace the coolant tank that had a crack and it was infact never replaced. The other shop had to replace it because guess what still had a crack. They also return the vehicle with no engine covers. Also the coolant hose was up over the engine and had to be taken off and routed back under where it goes. Oh and another, I go to put it in park and the bolts were never put on the transmission shift cable bracket and I got stuck in drive a parking lot and my husband had to come manually put it in park. We spent another 6500$ repairing what should have been repaired already and damage they caused

You brought your vehicle to us broken, on a tow truck. It was previously diagnosed with a lifter failure, but it needed much more than that. Neither you or our shop expected the truck to need so many repairs. It was the classical snow ball effect.

We fixed the lifter failure via new camshaft/lifters. After the lifter failure the truck still didn't run correctly. We then diagnosed bad ignition coils. It ran better but still not right. We then diagnosed a bad low side fuel pump. Ran better but still not right. We then diagnosed a bad high side fuel pump. Ran better but still not right. Amongst numerous other items. Your husband was in the passenger seat looking at the data a few times as we uncovered additional problems.

As far as the coolant tank, it was in fact replaced. I personally picked it up and brought to the shop. I believe your husband even saw the old tank.

I wish you would of told us about the head gaskets, we would have warrantied them for free.

You brought your 2006 Charger to ** in pieces. It was a complete mess. The car did not have an engine in it. It was missing parts and had random junkyard parts with it. Whoever disassembled your car did it in the most unorganized way possible.

We sorted out your mess, installed a new engine, with a performance camshaft. When the technician got stuck, because he was missing parts and sensors, that's when we ran into a problem. We notified you, and even gave you the list of parts the technician needed to finish the build. Instead of going to get the parts, you demanded your car back, and decided to call the police. The police didn't even come inside to talk to ** because of how absurd you were behaving. They arrived and left, each time you called.

The crazy part about it was, we were willing to finish the car, we just needed parts that were missing that you didn't want to provide, or buy from **.

*******, You brought your car to us from another shop. It was completely disassembled in an extremely unorganized manner with no engine. You provided an engine that we installed into the car. Our technician wrote a list of everything you were missing. Radiators, starter, sensors, etc. You refused to pay us to order the parts. We handed you the list of parts, and you refused to buy them. This put us in a position where we couldn't move further. We both agreed to waive your remaining balance so that you can take the car we didn't owe you anything at all. You signed off on this agreement.

So saying that you paid us to do nothing, is completely false and misleading. Attached is a photo of the engine that we installed in the vehicle. If you would have provided all the parts, the car would have been finished. This is why we frown upon customers supplying their own parts.

I regretfully allowed Fastlane Performance of ****************************************************, ** to install a LS/LT Camshaft Package for $5,995.00 USD on my 2015 Chevrolet Camaro SS. Within this package included Texas Speed parts, Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, LS7 style Lifters, Lifter Trays, Performance Plug Wires, Head Gaskets, Head Bolts, Long Tube Headers, Catted Mid Pipes, Cold Air Intake, HP Tuners Dyno Tune, 1 Week Professional Installation, 3 ************ Warranty. Upon completion of this installation I never received my Dyno Tune sheet that was promised, they never answer the phone or return phone calls. When I brought to the mechanic of Fast Lane Performance attention that the headers seem to sound like they are knocking against the frame of the vehicle, the response I received was that they have a lot of ******'s that they complete work on complain of this issue. Upon returning to the shop to address the issues that I've been experiencing with the vehicle since being released from Fast Lane Performance, the shop owner suggested that I take it to another shop to pay for repairs out of my own pocket when the issues are stemming from their shotty installation. The owner and his brother made the comment of "Your gonna kick a dog, while its already down" Further they changed the spark plug wires and basically didn't care that they are incompetent of completing the installation that was promised in the package that I purchased. I spent my money and didn't receive what was aligned in the documentation. Fastlane Performance operates an unprofessional business and simply don't care about the work performed. Only operating for money. Fastlane Performance has forgotten key values of a successful business- honest, proficient customer service and excellent work completed. My vehicle now has service alerts and my headers are ***** and are burning the spark plug wires due to Fast Lane Performance informing me they don't have the correct welding in house. Disappointed Customer.

We installed a camshaft and header kit on your Camaro 3 years ago in 2021. You are making a review 3 years after. Crazy thing is, you still have 10 more days of your 3 year warranty left.

Your car made great power after we installed our cam kit. You were extremely happy with it. You loved it. if i recall correctly, we allowed you to even be part of the dyno process. A  few weeks later you informed us that the Long Tube Header was barely touching the body of the car, and you could occasionally hear it. We inspected the car, and sure enough the header was close to the body, and under load it would barely touch the body, causing a small noise. Loose motor mounts could of been the real cause causing more engine movement than normal.

We informed you that we would cover it under our 3 year warranty. We would fix it for free. You got extremely argumentative, and you just left our shop. 3 years later, we are still baffled, as we told you we would fix it, and you just left.

If you still haven't fixed your headers after 3 years, let us know, we may be able to still warranty it even though your 3 year warranty is over by the time you read this.

I am rejecting this response because:

On the date that I returned the shop, It was clearly communicated that the headers were in fact not brand new, the spark plugs wires were touching the headers which continued to cause electrical issues and the unprofessional experience alone was baffling. The discussion that we had did not involve any service being completed free of charge under warranty. The conversation was that it would take quite some time to complete, along with additional payment being required to fix issues that resulted from Fastlane Performances shotty work. At this point, I am requesting a full refund along with compensation due to the shotty service work that was done, the customer experience that has caused detriment, and the additional funds that have had to come pout of my pocket to fix the issues resulting from ********'s work. I get turned away by most mechanics once they find out where my previous service was completed before - which was Fastlane. I have lost all trust in this shop, therefore i do not wish to have my vehicle in their possession to complete any further service.

    Sincerely,

This company was hired to install a motor and other additions to my **** Chevrolet Caprice. I dropped the car off on June 9, 2021. I paid the initial required deposit to order parts and to get started on the car. Total price to do the work was $36,714.00. To date I have paid $27,500.00 with the expectation to pay the balance once the job is completed. I was given a completion date of 30 days which would have been July 9, 2021. Today is July 22, 2022 over a year later and I still do not have my car, the job has not been completed. I have stopped by on several occasions only to get excuses after excuses. My car is sitting in their garage all torn apart with the parts sitting next to it. The owner refuses to give me an exact date as to when my car will be completed.

    Dear ****,

We sincerely apologize about the length of your build. We do appreciate you allowing us to finish the ** Conversion. I attached a picture of it. Your vehicle was brought into our shop in 2021. This was during the peak of COVID global supply chain and labor shortage issues. Our shop experienced delays due to having to quarantine our staff and dealing with backordered/discontinued parts. Our ** Conversions and special order engine builds took the hardest hit, since they both require 100's of parts, from over a dozen different suppliers. Our company has a strong enough infrastructure to survive covid, when many businesses didn't, even the businesses much larger than ours, such as some of our suppliers.

Our shop is happy to say that we took all the weaknesses that we experienced during covid, and made them our strengths. Our shop now only sells packages that we have full control over the timeline. Most packages are in and out within 2-5 days. For that reason, our shop is thriving, and we are doing better than almost every competitor in the country.

Lastly, our word still stands, we are willing to install a package on one of your vehicles with our labor being free, you just provide the parts. We hope this can make up for some of the delays we incurred.

    We wish you the best!
