    This complaint is against Douglas Estates Mobile Home Park and its parent company, *************************, based on an incident that has highlighted their negligence and refusal to accept responsibility for the damages incurred on my mobile home that dwells on a rented lot within their managed community.On August 7, 2023, during a storm, a large pine tree fell onto our mobile home, causing extensive damage to the roof, siding, ceiling, wall, floor, and window. We believe the incident to be a result of the tree's proximity to our residence and the instability of the tree due to erosion caused by an improperly drained retaining wall that was installed. Community concerns about the trees in that area preceded this incident. The subsequent damage has led to significant financial and emotional distress for us.Despite the clear connection between the fallen tree and the damages it caused, both Douglas Estates Mobile Home Park and ************************* have displayed negligence by failing to take appropriate preventive measures. Furthermore, their denial of any responsibility for the damages is concerning and unacceptable. This refusal to acknowledge their role in the incident only exacerbates our difficulties and demonstrates a lack of accountability.Our efforts to resolve the matter amicably thus far have been met with evasiveness and indifference. The disregard for residents' well-being, coupled with the evasion of responsibility, raises significant concerns about the practices and standards of both Douglas Estates Mobile Home Park and *************************. It is evident that their actions have not only caused financial hardship but also damaged our trust in their ability to provide a safe and secure living environment.
