I purchased Mohawk carpet through **** ***** 3 years ago. I have a 25 year warranty against stains. For the past 6 months I have been fighting with **** ***** because I have spots that will not come out. They claimed wicking which of course is not covered under the 25 year warranty I purchased. I have the carpet cleaned professionally several times. They carpet cleaning company said it was NOT due to wicking. They still will not do anything. They never sent anyone out to see the carpet. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars at **** *****. They care more about their vendors than their clients. Mohawk does NOT stand behind their product. My mission is to let as many people as I can know NOT to by Mohawk anything! That's one good thing about social media, Bad news travels fast.Review from Susan T

In a nutshell, Mohawk carpeting and their bogus warranty are crap. I replaced 20 year old **** carpet that looked better than the Mohawk crap looked after 6 months! I started a warranty claim for a stain that would not come out even with 2 professional cleanings, less than 6 months apart. We purchased this so-called "Pet-proof/stain-proof" high end carpet because we have cats and it was highly recommended by **** *****. After almost a year, I still have a stain that is about 2' x 3' in the middle of my living area and the yarn is pulling out of the carpet by hundreds per day, and the carpet is in every room. I have to cut them off with small scissors and vacuum them up. Soon, there will be nothing left. The quality is horrible and the shading and nap makes it look dirty and shabby. I'm sick of looking at it. I'm ready to rip it out and live on underlayment. My 20 yr old **** carpet never had a pulled yarn or a stain that wouldn't come out and when I vacuumed, it looked like new until the day they ripped it up. We only replaced it to update the decor. A $6,200 mistake!! After countless emails, phone calls, claims, denied claims, re-opened claims (after I ripped them a new one in a lengthy email to corporate) Mohawk offered to replace the carpeting in my entire living room and dining room for a $1400 installation fee! As senior citizens on fixed incomes, that is not an option for us. Plus, we would have had to pay them to move furniture. We were told this was the "top of the line" from Mohawk, so naturally, we figured it would last at least the 20 years we got from the ****. So, I'm on my hands and knees cutting little threads of yarn almost daily and every time I look at the giant stain in the middle of the room, I want to either cry or strangle someone. I've told everyone who will listen about this, but Mohawk doesn't care about their customers or their reputation. Never again!Review from Catherine D

I acquired 31 pallets of Mohawk Laminate Acacia Laguna flooring from ****'s in 2020, but the shipment lacked the critical lip component, requiring the return of all 31 boxes due to ****'s refusal to collect defective products. I subsequently purchased a closely matching alternative, which is now exhibiting buckling, color alteration, bubbles, and unusual scratches. I submitted a claim under the lifetime warranty, and it took a month to get any response, yet was denied in two days, attributing the issues to installation problems, which I contest. My own independent flooring specialist concurs that the flooring is inherently flawed, necessitating $875 in repairs. Notably, the flooring was installed in strict accordance with Mohawk's guidelines, and the product's discontinuation has precluded access to replacement planks. My attempts to engage with Pergo, ****'s Corporate, local stores, Mohawk, and Quickstep have yielded no viable solutions or meaningful customer support, highlighting the reasons behind the product's discontinuation. I wish I had researched these reviews before purchasing and losing in the personal process of remodeling.Review from Kathy B

Purchased mohawk carpet from *******. Picked upper price range. It was just over 1 years old when started to matt down and fibers fray. Looks horrible. Called about warranty and they claim needs to be professionally cleaned once a year for warranty to be valid. Really? Not even dirty yet. I replaced 30 year old carpet that looked better. This warranty was never written anywhere or passed on to us when purchased. Terrible customer service.Review from Lora M.

I purchase a pallet of Pergo Outlast Chestnut Baluga and used all but 32 boxes of the laminate flooring. In November 2023 I was ready to use the remainder of the laminate and discovered 13 of the flooring was defective. I filed a complaint with Pergo by way of Home Depot and after months of back and forth asking for a refund or replacement they denied my claim because the flooring was never installed. This product was discontinued as for numerous complaints that the product was faulty. Need a refund or replacement of the total 32 boxes as they are of no use to me.Review from Mike H

Tried contacting mohawk to talk about our floor that was coming up and the receptionist told us there was no one to talk too. She said we weren't their customer but that the retailer was their customer. We went thru the retailer and they complained also to mohawk to which mohawk hired an inspector to look at our floor. This is a floating floor and we're told it was secured down and shouldn't have been but it is not nailed or screwed down, it is a product with problems and nobody from mohawk will admit it. I have heard other people with problems also with no solutions from mohawk. This company I would not purchase from MikeReview from Margaret B

I had purchased flooring and within the cases I had mixed flooring. My issue is that the installer laid the flooring to find out that there was mixed flooring. I had to have them remove the mixed flooring and return it to the store (*******) and no one from ******* did anything. I did receive a letter stating that they are a self-service, do it yourself store offering the lowest prices and the best products available to you, our valued customer. But, they deny my claim based on their self-service principles. I did receive a letter from Sr Claims analyst from UNILIN Flooring part of Mohawk. Working with *******(Guest Service) offered me a IN STORE credit for $130.00. When it cost me time and money for the best product available to their valued customer. All I asked for was to be refund for the cost out of my pocket for their mistake. I feel Mohawk / UNILIN would care that the correct product was sent out their doors.Review from Kim S

I wish I didn't have to give them 1 star because their product is defective. I purchased sheet linoleum for 4 rooms in my home. The installer showed myself and a young handyman helper the defect. I made the purchase through **** ***** in Johnson City, TN. The people from ** sent a sample to them for review. In the meantime we are out the money for that. I purchased vinyl plank which my handyman installed. He did a great job. But now I am waiting at the mercery of Mohawk to determine whether or not they will refund us our money. DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS. About 30 plus years ago the products were good but no more.Review from Cole T

Terrible company do not buy from them. We have a total of 26 rentals and have purchased flooring for them throughout the years. There are good and bad products but Mohawk is the absolute worst. Recently spent money on a high quality mohawk floor and half of the flooring has been bad or ruined while being put together by professionals. The team of installers even said it was a faulty product. So now I have a faulty floor that 1/3 of my purchase came out of the box broken or broke during setup. I put in a claim and Mohawm skirted the issue and said it was all fine when it obviously isn't. You can't get an honest answer out of this company. DO NOT BUY FROM MOHAWK. They are the most fraudulent flooring company i have seen. They sell compromised flooring and the product is actual garbage.Review from Tina P

We had Mohawk carpet installed 2 years ago by ***** Flooring in ************. We did not buy the cheapest grade of carpet. It looks like it has been in the house for 20-30 years. Very worn down. Mohawk is saying it needs to be cleaned but that WILL NOT FIX the fact that it looks beat down and worn in traffic areas in just 2 years - that only tells me that in another 2 years or less it will look the exact same. We aren't stupid - cleaning will not change the quality of the carpet!!!! We paid $7,000 and the carpet that had been in the house for 30 years looked better than the Mohawk does after 2 years. BUYER BEWARE of ***** and Mohawk!!!!
