I bought a vehicle here several years ago and had a very good experience. Last year, I bought a 2024 ****** and very shortly after, discovered there was a leak causing water in the floor (which they were never able to determine the source) and bad rotors. The shop staff told me they couldn't replicate the sound I was hearing with my rotors. I asked for a mechanic to ride with me, who immediately identified that I had bad rotors in a 2024 vehicle. After much headache and back and forth, I was offered to trade that car in for a 2023 ********, which I did. I was supposed to have free oil changes up to ***** miles. When i went to get my oil changed the person to check us in was 30 minutes late and rude, never apologized or anything. I had things to do that day. I was then told I didn't have free oil changes. I had to work with ****** to get it in writing that I had free oil changes. I had to call several times before that even happened. On my way out of the dealership, I was told by **** that he wanted to offer me a "crazy, good" deal to trade in my vehicle. I wasn't initially interested in purchasing a vehicle, but was willing to hear his offer. I never received a call from him. ******* told me he would give **** a message, still no call back. I had to call ****** a few times during all this because my main concern was the free oil changes. I asked for one of the owners to call me at least 3 times and never got a call back. **** finally called back stating he didn't realize I had negative equity, which makes no sense, but assured me he would call back. Still no call back. A staff member called me to ask about my experience. I told her I had already requested to speak to an owner. She assured me the owner's wife would call me back, never did. I didn't ask for a trade deal, they offered and I probably wouldn't have done it because they wouldn't be able to follow through with a crazy good deal, but the carelessness of this business is astounding.Initial Complaint

This dealership owes my wife approximately $2,400 to be credited back to her credit card accounts. We were attempting to make a deal, paid the amount we had upfront via credit cards. The deal fell through and as of next week, we will incur late fees and interest charges on the aforementioned amount because the dealership has been dragging their feet and giving us the run around on OUR money!Initial Complaint

We took my 2020 Hyundai Palisade to Terry Reid Hyundai on Friday, December 6, 2024 because the vehicle was making noises. ( A little history, we have had 4 inspections related to oil consumption issues. They charged us $600 to replace the spark plugs and then we had a misfire and had to bring the vehicle back in.) Anyways we had to leave it and then rent a car for 3 days. I had to call ******* the mechanic to find out the checked to see if this was covered under our extended warranty, but he said no and said it would be $350 to $400 to repair, I had to tell he we need it fixed because we have a rental car. To make a long story short we ended up going to Hyundai of Kennesaw because the vehicle was still running rough. I showed them the receipt for the repair and they said they would change the oil and inspect for free and they came back to say the the leak wasn't repaired. They suggested we contact ******* at Terry Reid Hyundai since they charged us for the repair. My daughter called ******* and was very rude and unprofessional, we put the service advisor from Hyundai of Kennesaw on the phone with him so he could tell him what they found and that the leak they had us pay to repair wasn't fixed.******* asked my daughter to bring the car back and he would take a look and repair. When she got to the dealership he said they sealed it and if we wanted it repaired it would be an additional $600. These are very I scrupulous, unprofessional, price gouging in a very bad economy.Initial Complaint

I purchased a used vehicle back on January 11, 2024. Within the first six days of ownership my car came under the effect of 3 different maintainence issues that prevented my vehicle from being able to pass the state state inspection. I dropped my vehicle off at the dealership on January 20th, 2024 and asked the dealership to fix the issues that were present. More than 60 days later, not only have they not completed all of the repairs that they said they would fix, but they have also committed several suspicious actions that don't make alot of sense. When it came to using my car warranty to help lower the cost of the repair bill, they had informed me that there was a 30 day grace ****** for new car owners to submit claims on the 3rd policy I had signed up with. However, upon contacting the warranty company itself to see if this was true, they immediately notified me there was no such thing. They also let me know that the dealership itself would be held response for the repairs as they had sold me a vehicle that had been deemed to have pre existing damages that had been present at the moment that I bought the car. Recently I received a phone call from the dealership where they told me that I would need to provide a copy of my tag and title to them in order for the warranty company to approve one of the repairs that they had to deal with on my car. If I was unable to, I would HAVE to pay off the final repair work myself in order to get my car back in working condition. Not only has the warranty company denied this statement and said that this was totally untrue, but the tag office itself told me that I would be unable to even proccur this information without a vehicle that can pass state emissions. This, as well as several other interactions with said dealership caused me to make a phone call to the *** to submit a case. Upon hearing what happened they advised me to contact my local Attorney General and the BBB as soon as I possibly could.Initial Complaint

We purchased a Hyundai ***** Fe sport 2016. The car has a recall that requires a new engine. Hyundai and the dealership are pointing fingers at each other about whos responsible for repairing. They say we failed to have an update done for the engine (we have never received ANYTHING about any recall) They essentially held our vehicle for two months, now it doesnt even start. It cranked and drove before taking our car into their center. We were told to pick it back up before they charged us storage fees. This car was purchased by us brand new and we have always taken excellent care. Its our family vehicle, we have 2 small children. This completely unfair and we need resolution.Initial Complaint

I brought my vehicle in for a recall alarm service update and since my brake lights have remained on. The whole experience was ridiculous. I came in at 9:00am and was told it takes 30 minutes to an hour and a half and that if it was longer they would call me. At 1:20pm mind you they close at 2:00pm I still didnt have a call and when I called I had to leave a message. I ended up calling again and decided to pick the car sales option and they had the service department call me back. I called trying to get them to take a look at it was was told they could get to it for a week. I spoke to two gentlemen about coming and both were very uncaring and said there was no way anything could be related. My car was fine before the update and I found two small black piece (parts) on the floorboard of my drivers side after the service which I still have. The entire time I was there for service all they did was try to sell me another car and tell me I should get a new one etc and I feel this dealership is engaging in unfair business practices and intentionally making things go wrong with your car to try to get you to purchase a new one. I need timely service for this issue to be fixed.Initial Complaint

My fianc and I traveled from **** to Georgia on 10/15/2022 to purchase a 2018 **** F350 from Terry Reid Hyundai in Cartersville GA. As of 1/31/2023, we still have not received the paperwork required so we can get permanent tags for the vehicle. We contacted the dealer on the following dates checking on the status of the paperwork as well as trying to get temp tag extensions. 11/17, 11/23, 11/30 (advised tags expired cannot drive and they sent a sticker to put over the tag) 1/16/23 to advise we still hadn't received and again 1/31/23 advising the tags were once again expired and not able to be driven. I was told today that they cant do much because PNC has not sent them the lien release and title for the vehicle. This has become very worrisome at this point.Initial Complaint

I had a 2017 Hyundai ****** towed to Terry ****** service department on 7/12/2022. The engine devloped a knock and needs replacement. The vehicle is under warranty still. When the vehicle arrived at the dealership, I was informed work would begin on 07/27/2012. In the three months the dealership has had my vehicle, they have contacted me one time to inform me of the status of my repair. This was after filing a complaint with your agency approximately six weeks ago. I have tried literally dozens of times to contact the service department for an update: I have called repeatedly and their phone goes unanswered; I've left messages through the chat function on the dealership's website asking for information and no one replies; and, I have gone to the dealership in person, where I literally stood in front of the service desk for more than 30 minutes, completely ignored by service department staff. (It was as if I was invisible to them.) I have no idea what the status of my repair is. More importantly, I have now gone more than 13 weeks without the vehicle. The vehicle was diagnosed on 07/12/2022 and, to the best of my knowledge, work has not even begun yet. Needless to say, going more than 13 weeks without the vehicle has been hugely inconvenient. Lack of communication from the dealer only frustrates the issue. In short, I want my vehicle fixed; the dealership has had it far too long at this point. Their customer service practices are wholly unacceptable. This is, without a doubt, the single worst example of poor customer service, in any context, I have ever experienced.Initial Complaint

Terry Reid Hyundai has had my car since May 8th,2022. My engine underwent replacement by them at the direction of Hyundai ***************** of *******. On July 19th,2022, I was informed by the dealership that mr *** was ready for pickup. However, I was informed that my car needed a Transmission Speed Sensor and rear brakes. No matter how hard you try, you cannot communicate with these people. All of my attempts are met by no one answers the service department phones, if they do answer they know nothing about the status of the car, they tell you they will call you back and no one does. So. I got Hyundai ***************** of *********************** people involved. Terry Reid Hyundai received a request from Hyundai ***************** of America to provide necessary paperwork regarding my Transmission Speed Sensor and rear brakes. Terry Reid Hyundai has had this request since before August 1st, 2022. Without this paperwork requested by Hyundai ***************** of America, Hyundai cannot make a decision on the repair of my car. Hyundai ***************** of America refuses to force the dealer to cough up the paperwork. I can get no time estimate if a repair is to be made and whether the request has been refused or not. Terry Reid Hyundai has now had my car for four full months. Hyundai own words online state you cannot operate the car with a bad Transmission Sensor. The Transmission Speed Sensor was damaged by the engine implosion or the installation of the new engine. I think I deserve the rear brakes as goodwill for all the trouble Hyundai has put me through with the loss of use of my car for four months.. I think the Transmission Speed Sensor should replaced for safety reasons at Hyundai ***************** of America's expense. I think the dealership needs to complete these repairs immediately and return my car to me with repair verification. The dealer needs to be sanctioned Hyundai for the poor treatment of their customer!
