Rivertown Counseling called me on ***** ** to schedule my son's counseling session. The session was scheduled ***** ** at *** and I was told it would be 1 hour long. My husband checked my son out of school at *** to make the *** appointment. They get to the office at *** , checked in, and sat in the waiting area until *:****. I called the office and spoke with Anna, who stated that the therapist was running late but ******** would be seen for the full time. Because my husband had to be at work by *:***, ******** was only seen for 15 minutes by the therapist instead of the full hour. I requested a refund for my $** copay and was told I would need to speak with thr office manager, Miranda. Miranda called me back today and stated that they could not refund me because he was in the office. This is absurd. If a patient is late or cancels a visit within 24 hours of the appointment time, you are charged a $** fee. But the staff has no recourse of they are late. This office has no respect for time of patients nor their parents. I will be filing a complaint with the medical broad as well because I do not intend to pay for services that my son where did not receive the full benefit.
