We chose Peppers, instead of our builder's ** company because we thought they would do a better job and would do right by us. Peppers installed our Heating and ** system for our new build. The new build was completed in April 2022. Over the course of the last 18 months we have had a series of issues with the house that we worked through with the builder. Two issues: serious mold in our bathroom, and bowing floors in our bedroom we could not figure out. We finally called Peppers and learned that one of the issues (mold) was due to them not installing a vent in our master shower. This is a code violation, which we had to pay $400 to have them fix. The second issue (floors) they told us that the ** was installed correctly and that we had a moisture issue in our crawl space and gave us the name of an encapsulation company that they work with. We have had 3 different encapsulation companies out to the house and not one of them found a moisture problem. We finally called another ** company and they told us that the problem was that the duct work was not sealed going into the house (another code violation). We asked them to fix it as we had lost confidence in Peppers by this time, but the company said, you paid good money for them to do the job ($18k), they should do the job correctly. I reached back out to Peppers and in return got a very heated phone call from ****** denying that they made any mistakes. He was quite angry, would not let me get a word in and blamed our problems on us not being satisfied, versus, them actually doing a poor job. We paid the other company $2780 to fix the issue and bring the install up to code.Business response

I want to thank them for reaching out. We came to an agreement to settle the issues, and I let them know we are compensating them back for any cost they may have incurred to correct the issues discussed.Customer response
