I purchased several mold bombs for our cottage and after doing so, I received a direct call from the Biocide Labs encouraging me to purchase more to make certain I cover all square footage so there would be no doubt about removing the mold. I went ahead and ordered more of their product but the mold was never removed. They advised if I used the bombs in the quantity needed, I would not need a scrubber. I just called and spoke to "****" and he advised that I may need a scrubber and that it may not be mold that I am smelling. I asked for a refund but they said they could possibly "help" with a a new scrubber and additional product. I have read several of the complaints on line and I see it is the same modus operandi -- keep pushing product. I am demanding a refund which they will not honor at this time.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:I am asking for a full refund and will not accept any other remedy. They indicated in their response to contact them, I already did contact them and they refused to provide me with a refund. They had no hesitation in calling me directly after I ordered online. They use unsolicited means to make me order more product. They called me directly to sell merchandise even though I am on the DO NOT SOLICIT National Registry. I am challenging this charge and will receive a provisional credit in the interim until such time I am issued a full refund.

About 4 months ago we paid $2,700 for a mold treatment of our house. We did all the steps they told us to do. Then we starting showing symptoms again a week ago. My husband checked our basement and there was mold all in the walls. This put our children and myself being pregnant at risk. I asked for them to send us foggers to treat the house which would be $500 and they said they could not do it. I asked for **** to ask a manger and he told me he would call me back and he has not called me back with any answers.Business response

Biocide Labs and **** from Biocide Labs rushed us into a purchase with a no return policy that we did not know about. There was no email for me to contact and we were promised things over the phone like the air scrubber being a part of it and we were only sent a very cheap off brand dehumidifier (which also doesn't work the way we were promised it would). My wife and 2 of my children are experiencing symptoms from our situation and we were scammed into almost $2000 worth of product with little to no help and all of the "techs" are actually salesmen. A lot of what this manager said was misleading and as it was over the phone, no paperwork for us to look over. This company clearly is built on finding people/families in vulnerable and time sensitive situations and preys on them to rush into decisions with little to no resources because everything is over the phone. I dont understand how the BBB is still allowing this to happen after reading the amount of complaints are the same as ours. This is a company that I will never use and will not recommend to anyone. I WILL NOT be removing this until my refund is complete.Business response

I am rejecting this response because:Thank you for the refund however you shorted me $207.63. Why should I have to take this hit?
I hope that you (and other victims) will review the FEDERAL TRADE COMMIsSION TELEMARKETING SALES RULES rules about what information should be DISCLOSED over the phone.
Is this amount is either the commission the sales rep was paid? Was that the shipping fee? How did you calculate that? The shipping fee was never disclosed to me nor any other shipping options in case that's it. Surely he doesn't deserve a commission. He failed to ask me about my autoimmune condition. He failed to tell me about the toxicity of these ingredients. He failed to find out if my HVAC is gas before telling me to put two in there. He failed to find out if the source of mold was identified. He told me he was including an air filter that he charged me for. He told me I was getting discounts that I wasn't. I would like the rest of my money.

On July 10th,I received my results from mold test company (***********************************) explaining that my mold remediation was easy and even with 2 small kids (infant and 4 yrs old) I could do the remediation myself. Mr. ********** then connected me right away with biocide and the spoke with ****** After speaking with ****** as he also knew I had 2 small children again reassured I could do this myself and I. Needed the home premium packageIn a panic I spent $2,000 on the package.While receiving the supplies in July 12th, there were no directions on how to use the fogger, disinfectant or air scrubber. When opening the fogger there were several bottles with the caps already off . The bottles with there caps off a strong odor as well which I do not want around my children I have email several times about emailing myself written procedures on how to apply, but no response back. Only to call the walk through team I spent $2,000 and have 2 small children. I deserve to know in every detail how to resolve my issues. I would request to know what exactly needs to be done in writing or use the payment I sent toward having a professional sent to complete the job.I believe I was completely mislead how easy the job is which is unacceptable and unethicalBusiness response

The lack of paper trail makes me feel very uneasy. After purchasing $2,065 worth of products I received 7 emails your company as well as your law group. Now, I am unable to receive the application process in writing but only through a phone call?I was sold that my solution is easy yet I was never told about needing a protective suit, googles and mask. That is not easy with 2 small children around.
If the application process can not be written down for myself, please refer myself to a professional to complete the job. I spent $2065 of my money to your company. Please show empathy as this job much more difficult that I can not perform by myself with my 2 children around

In the past week before your response , I have contacted 3 mold professionals in **. All stated that employee hunters comment of I would not enter your house was scare tactic and I did not need $2065 worth of products to complete the job.i do not appreciate this and find this unethical. Reviewing the phone call will show hunters unnecessary comment about my house.
Since you have $2065 from me and i have all these products at home, I want my basement treated. According to my conversation with ******, you sell the same products to mold professionals.
Please refer me to one of your clients to treat my basement since I have all the products already. I would then pay them for the labor. With 2 small children it is too difficult to perform the process of fogging, clean up and air scrubbing by myself

Called with questions about availability of an air quality test kit. After answering questions I was transferred to an agent to help with a medical test kit. The kit was quoted as being $99 for a urine test kit which would be overnighted. I paid for this over the phone. Discussion about possibly going forward with other products AFTER the test results were complete when the urinalysis was studied. I was told by the agent I could call with any questions and they would me. I checked my bank account later and a $617.95 hold was placed on it. I called the agent and l left a message. Next day no reply, no package. Called again. No response. Third day the pending charge came out of my account. No one has reached out to me by email or phone. No product has arrived. I am very disappointed. Their reviews were good and the agent seemed trustworthy. I will disclose his name if needed. This is an urgent matter.Business response

August 7, 2023 After having my return air vents swabbed, I was contacted by ***************** to explain the results. My wife is having severe health issues and her doctor will not continue treatment until we check for mold in the house. Mold ******** forwarded their phone call to a Biocide salesman. I assume the call was recorded. The salesman explained their process of remediation which included fogging the entire house. I specifically asked him if the foggers had an odor and he said, "No." My wife has an extreme chemical sensitivity. When we finally had a chance to "bomb" the house, I did some test areas in the basement using a few canisters. The product indeed has a strong odor of and contains citronella as stated on the label. Needless to say, this product is detrimental to my wife's health and we are proceeding with a company who can do a chemical-free removal of the mold in our house. I am asking for compassion from Biocide since we were told this product does not have an odor and it indeed does and can linger for days. I have over 30 unopened canisters of the fogger and I simply want to return them for a refund. I am willing to keep the rest of the supplies that they sent including the air scrubbers and disinfectant. Biocide told me that they won't take the foggers back because they are contaminated. The foggers are still in the original box and have not been used. I believe that I was given dishonest information and would not have purchased their product if I was told that they had an odor and/or contained citronella.Business response

I wrote a website message to this company looking for mold testing swabs for my HVAC and was quickly texted and told to call. Informed on call that I needed twenty-two mold bombs and an expensive air scrubber and a gallon of mold cleaner. The bill I envisioned went from 100 USD for two mold testing swab kits to 700 USD for the bombs and cleaner - I bowed out of the air scrubber but was told without all items I wouldn't succeed and my house would just grow mold again. I told the salesperson I had to think about it and call him back and he said to hurry and call back because he was "holding the product for me" and "it would be gone and not sure when restocked". It was a Friday afternoon, and I'm feeling really unwell due to mold in the home. When you are at your most vulnerable, they don't tell you what the product contains - saying it is "all natural" - and with the name "Biocide" resembling the natural supplement "Biocidin" it seems like it's true. All the man on the phone wanted was my credit card number to go through, in order to make "special arrangements" to get this product to me in ****** asap. I was sucked in. I stupidly went looking for the product information AFTER the transaction went through and it was hard to find. I react strongly to chemicals and this is MOST CERTAINLY a chemical - the product can interact with other toxins in the home in unpredictable ways and it is not recommended by the ******************************* in the ** as it is a known carcinogen. It doesn't meet California's Prop 65 requirements for a safe substance either. I tried to contact them to stop shipment and refund my card but found out there's a strict "no refund as soon as it leaves the warehouse" policy. I only received this information after purchasing. Charged $155 for shipping with NO shipping information on the invoice, can't contact the shipper. The product contents and terms of purchase and shipping were not disclosed properly. This company lies. This product does not work and is very toxic. They tell you it's non toxic and it is completly misrepresented. They prey on people desperate to rid their homes of mold.
