I contacted the partnership for Community Action on August 25th 2024. I was requesting financial assistance to help to avoid eviction. I had very bad experiences in communications with the staff, especially Miss Jetsaria *********-*****, who was assigned as my caseworker. There was not any professional demeanor from this woman and I finally went to her supervisor and the woman seemed genuine. When I contacted them for assistance not once did they tell me that I had been approved or pre-approved or I would get this amount or they would pay this amount. I was never given any information until I had to send an email requesting it. Of course this was like trying to pull teeth and I still never received a document that assigned in regards to the financial aid. During this time my landlord is filing my eviction in court and on September 11th. I received an email from Ms. ******** stating that I had been approved for financial assistance And to give it the allotted 30 days for their organization to send the check to my landlord. Well on September 18th I had court for the eviction and that morning I asked if I could have some documentation that shows that we are in a contractual agreement and then I have been approved and this money is on the way. We just don't know when. I never received that documentation and I was told that the email they sent would be suffice. Even though that's not what I was asking for whatsoever. My landlord and I agreed that I wouldn't worry about August and September but that I would focus on getting October's rent on time. So October 1st just come around. Comes back on what she said and goes and files the writ of just dispossession the court. Basically what this means is I'm at the end of the line, I'm out of timeouts, substitutions and plays .. because on September 11th (30 days from approval) not only did they not pay my rent but they also were not reachable via email or phone so that I could get answers. They are messing with people's lives ..

Partnership for community action is a agency that supposedly assists residents in Dekalb county, for rent, ********************* Their policy is to call for screening/ appointment, Mondays from 7am until. There has been countless complaints of calls not being answered. I have literally called for the past four Monday(s) over two hundred & sixty times, with not on single time have anyone answered one of those calls. I then called their utility relief department & was able to speak to two representatives who took my info to pass along to family support department that assist with rental & mortgages. No one has yet to get in touch with me. In their review(s), the overwhelming consensus is that, Partnership for community action dose not answer calls, follow up with ************** nothing to correct the issues they have developed with the community.
