A tornado substantially damaged our house in April 2022. We hired a contractor to do the repairs who got a subcontractor to replace our shingle roof. The roof was started October 2022. Fulford Roofing quit about 3/4 through the process, the contractor hired another crew, we had to hire two other contractors to finish the job, altogether four contractors were involved. We had serious leaks in the new roof, including one that resulted in water getting in the electric box causing circuit breakers to trip. Three contractors told us the roof was so bad it had to be completely replaced which we did at a cost of $18,500. The final roofer took pictures and documented the problems which were numerous. The new roof is as it should be with zero leaks. My wife overheard the general contractor telling the roofer "you're not going to do the same thing you did on that last job are you". Apparently he did. Fulford also ordered almost twice the amount of shingles needed, and according to the supply store, his MO was to return unused material for a refund which he pocketed. We thrawted that. Ridge vents were installed without cutting slots in the ridge, flashing was totally inadequate to prevent leaks, nails were left sticking up due to a missadjusted nail gun, rotten places in the plywood were repaired by applying putty, an entire run on the front of the house was not lined up with the rest of the roofing, trash was strewn out everywhere and the roofer told me he didn't need my ******** *job after I tried to get him to fix a severe leak over the kitchen cabinets, a place that didn't even leak during the storm. The other contractors who inspected the job said it would be easier to list what was right than what was wrong. This company is either completely incompetent or seriously crooked. I suspect both are true. These people should be put out of business, but we would accept a total refund for labor and materials and an apology in writing and in person, nothing less.
