On Nov. 1, I wrote ******************** (owner) a deposit for $9843.37. He did incomplete work Nov. 3 & 5. On Nov. 8, I terminated his contract due to his lack of integrity, professionalism, dishonesty, attention to detail, his intent to price ***** and bully, and his disrespect/intimidating behavior displayed towards other contractors and myself. Out of the 14 tasks contracted, he only completed two tasks after having my garage opener for over a week. (As a WOMAN, I found this extremely ABNORMAL and highly Concerning.) He was supposed to have the work completed, to include an entire paint job, before my family moved in on the 11th. Instead, I got Overpriced work with a bad attitude! He did not complete any of the work as contracted, plus he left behind trash and debris. Because I have a family, I could no longer afford for him to be on our time, and more importantly, for me to be taken advantage of as a woman. I had to file a police report on the owner following our Nov. 8 meeting, as he threated that if he did not get his money, that he would make it uncomfortable for me and my family to our house. Following our mtg, I agreed to compensate him $5,000 for the (incomplete) work that he did do, and to just walk away if he refunded me $4800. He agreed to this arrangement stating that he would have his "accountant" to write me a check. On November 10, at 10:00 AM, ******************** sent a threating text message alleging that I owed him additional money and that he would take me to court. This is totally opposite of the verbal agreement reached at the conclusion of our appointment on Nov. 8, where he stated that he would have his accountant to write me a refund check. I have two adult witnesses to testify against ************************ failure to comply with his agreement. I would like to request the assistance of BBB for aiding my legal defense. ******************** has violated multiple law as a contractor; therefore, I wish to defend my legal rights as a consumer.
