The dealership consistently markets and sells vehicles at inflated prices, far exceeding market value, despite these cars being in deplorable condition. Many of the vehicles are poorly maintained, with significant mechanical issues such as leaking components, broken or missing parts, and, in some instances, severely compromised engines or transmissions. Some have been left to sit unused for extended periods, and the dealership falsely represents these cars as 'fresh arrivals' in good working order, when in reality, they are riddled with hidden defects. To further compound the issue, there are reports of the use of illegal aftermarket tuning devices, putting customers at risk of legal consequences and unsafe driving conditions.

I purchased my wife a 2021 ****** Highlander XSE on 5/24/24 at the purchase price of approximately $38,800 from Exotic Motors Atlanta. When I inquired about the vehicle, the salesman assured me that the vehicle was almost in perfect shape. After we agreed on price, the paperwork was completed via docusign. In the agreement, they would deliver it to my home. I finally received delivery of the vehicle after midnight where I could not see the condition of the vehicle. That weekend I noticed hail damage all over the majority of the roof and other numerous areas that were easily see in the daylight. I instantly reported it to them and they claimed they never knew or seen any damage. I asked to return the vehicle and they deemed they couldn't since my wife registered over 40 miles that they said was over their *** required miles to return. Since then, the vehicle has been in the Sun and has developed a moldy, sour smell like it had taken on water at some point. Once again, I informed them and they refuse to do anything about it. I have tried contacting the owner dozens of times and he is always out of he office or on the phone when I call. I have left messages to call me back and he hasn't. All I am wanting is for them to make it right and hold true to their word on the vehicle being as described. I have spoke to the Sales Manager and begged him to assist financially in repairing the Hail damage and carpet replacement, but again continues to push me off and tell me he will speak to the owner. I continue to get pushed off and have heard nothing. Can the BBB please help me rectify this horrible situation. Thank you!

Hello Mr. ************************* are sorry about the experience you've had with your purchase.  Here at Exotic Motors Atlanta we try to provide you with the best possible service. Every vehicle goes through a mechanical inspection to ensure reliability.  Upon reviewing the details the vehicle that was sold to you was in good condition besides minor things as expected on any used vehicle.  After one of the managers spoke to you we agreed upon taking the vehicle back with you stating it had been driven only around 40 - 50 miles based on the information/proof you had sent the vehicle had been driven over 400 miles which is way past based on our policy to accept it back.  The vehicle was fully detailed and inspected before being shipped out to you and there was no smell or sign of water damage as you've stated.  ****** was also provided to you showing it's a clean vehicle and there's no report of hail damage on it.
Also full walk around videos and additional pictures were sent to you as per your request and after complete transparency and Your approval the vehicle was shipped to You.

In this particular case there is nothing We can do. Thank You

I am rejecting this response because:
There was not a video showing the roof and other areas of the hail damage. I was told the car was almost perfect. I was lied to. Anyone that walked up and payed attention would have seen this. It was very obvious once I seen it in daylight while I was detailing the vehicle. This is a poor explanation and has no validity.
    Sincerely,

    *******************************

Walk around videos are sent showing the sides of vehicle while walking around and the vehicle appears to be in good cosmetic condition (Minor scratches and dents maybe present as expected on a used vehicle).  If additional pictures are requested by the customer for example as the undercarriage or roof we do provide it upon customer's request.  Looking at all the pictures and videos that were sent to you the vehicle looks in great shape for being a used vehicle.  We try to ensure all our vehicles are in good cosmetic condition but it is a used vehicle and we cannot make it brand new.  As stated earlier we did try to work with you but we were lied to, by you stating that it was driven only ***** miles and then it turned out to be over 400 miles.  We cannot compensate you since the vehicle was sold AS IS.

    Thank you.

I am rejecting this response because:
You and your company continue to lie about the condition of this vehicle. You claim in the prior statement that you completely inspect all vehicles cosmetically and mechanically. I never claimed there was a mechanical issue! I can send the video that was sent to me and prove it while your manager claims he wasnt aware of the damage? I am one of the many that has complained about the condition of the vehicles you sell purchasing out of state. You are doing wrong not to only by me but other customers as well. You need to take the financial responsibility of the issue at hand and make it right.
    Sincerely,

On March 18th, 2024 I purchased an Audi RS7 from Exotic Motors Atlanta. Proper financing occurred, and paperwork was signed. My husband (co signer) and I reside in ********, ** and we were informed by the Finance Manager that paperwork would be sent to our local *** in *******************, in order to register the vehicle and get a license plate. Between March 18th and May 2nd, 5 different trips to the local *** were made to see if the paperwork had shown up in their system. It did not, and the *** does not have any info on the vehicle. The temporary license plate expired May 2nd, 2024, and because we are out of the 45 day limit for SC, we cannot get an extended temporary tag. We are no longer able to drive the vehicle, despite making payments through the finance company. In calling Exotic Motors, we are told they submitted the paperwork but have not sent any proof to the email address that I have provided for them to send proof of submission to. I am looking for the registration documents to be sent to our local *** in *******************, and for Exotic Motors to provide documentation that it was submitted to the correct address so that we can obtain a license plate and drive the vehicle again.

    Dear Customer,

We undertsand your frustration regarding all this situation BUT we were getting the paperwork bounced back from SC *** stating that you are not exempt from the paying the property taxes on it(due to You being the main buyer and You are not military.

We use a third party agency to make sure all title work is done and filled correctly and on time. We were informed by them that Since You are the main buyer and You are non military You're not exempt from paying the taxes.

However, to make things simple the agency We use is sending the docs to your concerned *** again and it will be on hold there till you personally go in there and you can then discuss with them as to however You guys prefer it to be done to make it simple. We have forwarded Your concern to the 3rd party agency We use they should be getting in touch with You shortly.

We have asked multiple times and have been told that your husband went there and got told that he is not eligible to pay the taxes due to his active military status. However yesterday when we received the package back for the same reason we contacted the *** after numerous attempts we were able to get someone on the phone and they mentioned that since you are the buyer AND you are not Military you are required to pay the property taxes on it.

This concern is technically not in Our hands as it has to do with Your local Government tag agency and State laws.

We will also be following up with You to make sure this is resolved smoothly

Feel free to contact Our title **** if any future concerns are there.

    Thanks

I am rejecting this response because:

While I appreciate the efforts made, I attached documentation to show that the 2018 ****** Altima that was my vehicle and traded in, **** *************************, was exempt from property tax due to my husband being stationed in ************** Active Duty. Being a spouse of an active duty service member, does exempt property tax. My husband was not the owner of the ****** Altima at all, but since I am listed as spouse (on the Military Orders attached in photo) I was brought to SC through official military duty, and am exempt.
Please see the attached photos for proof of $0 property tax.

In order to resolve the issue at the **** please provide the paperwork to either myself at ************************* and or **********************************.

Additionally, there has been 0 communication on the business end and every communication was because we initiated a phone call. The hold *** during the submission of paperwork process should have been indicated to us, the buyers, via email or phone call. We are still paying for a vehicle that we cannot drive. Please ensure that either a representative from Exotic Motors Atlanta or the third party reaches out via email or phone number ***********) with proper paperwork so we can resolve at the DMV.

    Sincerely,

    ***********************

We purchased a 2014 Equus from this dealership. The drivers side mirror was not working. We were told they had a mirror on order & would supply us with a new mirror. We contacted the dealership many times & talked to Mo who promised the mirror was going to be shipped to us We have never received the mirror. When we asked for repairs in writing he told us they did not put it in writing. We are still driving car without functioning drivers side mirror.

I live in ***** and in Sept 2022, I bought a 2011 Porsche Cayman from Exotic Motors (online deal) for $30k. I also purchased extended warranty for $4700 & *** for $599 from the dealership (The *** company called to notify me the cheque from exotic motors bounced, so I have no *** coverage) I never saw the vehicle in person. When the Cayman was delivered to my home in *****, I immediately noticed the check engine light was on. I called Exotic Motors, reported issue to the salesman as well as Finance manager ******************************** then took the car to a certified Porsche dealership for inspection. Porsche technicians filed a claim on extended warranty I had purchased but it was denied because it was a preexisting condition. ********** in Finance then faulted me for telling the dealership the truth about how long I had the car, I wasnt going to lie to defraud the warranty company Next, ********** the finance manager then asked me to take the car to a machine shop where services will be cheaper & sent a $1000 for initial repairs. The machine shop worked on the car unsuccessfully for weeks. Same fault codes were still present I have been unable to register the car/title because the codes prevent the car from passing ***** inspection Now I need the dealership to take responsibility & take the car back & offer a refund. In good faith I tried to make the deal work, but the vehicle was never roadworthy. I have tried my best but now *************** informed me of their 30-day return policy last week but this is a different situation, where the car was in the shop for those 30 days plus trying to fix a mess Exotic motors created anyway I want a full refund for my car $30k I want a full refund for my *** which was never paid for $599 I want a refund for my Warranty $4700 The funds should be returned to Navy ******************** or me I only wanted a working car, Exotic Motors should take responsibility
