Purchased 2/25/2025 $3500 down payment I was sold a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that was not in working condition broke down four times within the week of me purchasing it. When purchasing the vehicle the speedometer was at ******* and weeks later changed to ******* miles. *** had to pay to get it towed engine light came on this company came and repossessed the car on 4/3/2025 when there was a payment arrangement sent in place for 4/4/2025. They are trying to extort me for money adding on a tow fee of $1395.00 when the car wasnt supposed to be towed due to the payment arrangement made. This company is falsely selling bad cars and extorting for money the the vehicle is not in shape to sell. They also sold me the car within 35 minutes of me being at the lot and pressuring me to sign papers because they knew aJeep was my dream car. Im very hurt about this matter and will be contacting my lawyer. *** also filed a police report. My mechanic replaced the starter and coil pack and changed out fuses and the car still would not work. they knew the car was not in working condition to sell.Initial Complaint

They clear codes on the cars just to sale them. They give you the run around and will not let you speak to a mansger. Bought a car there 2 weeks ago, gave them 4k down. they have had the car for a week now to make repairs and still will not give any updates. i have asked 6 times to talk to a manager and they keep saying they will pass the message along. They day after after buying the car, there were 4 different warning lights and the engine light came on. i put the car on a computer and could see the codes had been reset the week before. i have asked for a refund since the car has severe mechanical issues that were hidden at time of purchase. I have also asked many times for my property out of the car and they refuse to tell me where the car is. I went there this morning 1/1825 to ask for a manager again and i was told the manager wasnt there. So i asked the lady to please call her and she said no because the manager wouldnt answer. i asked for the managers name and number and got told they are not allowed to give the name or number. I then asked for my property again and was told they didnt know where it was. I also asked for my money back because she told me yesterday that i could pick it up today. But as usual she played dumb. I told her i wanted some answers and wasnt leaving until i got them. At this point she called the police. I waited until the police came and she told the police our car and property was in ***********, ** over 2 hours away from us. The officer knew the place since they have been there many times and was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction to take legal action.We have tried to be peaceful and come to a resolution with Lara Luxury Trucks SC but they refuse to talk to us about the issues. All we want is our money back without having to go to court. I have documented and recorded every communication to give to my lawyer.Initial Complaint

I was going to make a deal with this dealer and they told me that in order for them not to sell the car I had to make the down payment deposit ($7210), we started to do the process of the paperwork and the loan and as the days went by we couldn't find a lender until they found one, they proceeded to send me the papers to sign but when reviewing them there was an inconsistency with the interest rate and the total to pay on the debt. With which I did not agree and decided to withdraw from the purchase to which I requested a refund of ($7210) dollars on Nov 12/2024 and to date they have not given me the money and they tell me that the only way is that I must buy a vehicle by obligation. to which I do not agree because I have never had a vehicle in my hands.Initial Complaint

On 12/4/2024 I went to **** Luxury cars in *********** Ga to inquire about buying a truck. After a couple of hours of going through everything and how down payment would be paid they asked for my card. I waited another hour and told them I was going to wait until the next day to bring my wife, the gentleman told me I needed to sign the paperwork since they had already run my **************** credit card. I felt extreme pressure since they already ran my card for $10,300 and felt like I had no choice so I signed them. They told me I could take the truck home and I told them no I don't have insurance on it and my insurance office was closed and I wanted to bring my wife because something was not correct since they pressured me into signing after running my card and I wanted to cancel this but did not know how. Then they told me they needed me to give them access to my bank so they could verify my income through my bank statement, I told them my wife could print them off but again they said I had already signed the papers and they already had my deposit so I had to give them access. I had my wife on the phone for the most part and she tried speaking to them by speaker phone and they would not speak to her. I don't understand why they would pressure me that hard and upon my wife and I going up to the dealer again and her explaining to them this deal was not done correct and I was under duress because they had already processed my credit card and the deal needed to be canceled they claimed to try and call the owner with no luck and told us they finally run my bank statement and they had 2 different offers for the truck loan. I was not able to test drive the truck or even hear the truck run until I signed. We have tried several times to cancel this and they will not help us even after many attempts and we don't know what to do.Initial Complaint

I purchased a vehicle from this company and traded in my truck for it. They did not disclose in any way that this vehicle has been in a wreck and very heavily damaged and it is now costing me more money since the vehicle is worth way less since it has been wrecked. I purchased my vehicle from lara luxury trucks the one in the ************** location on February 24,2024 paid a down payment of $6000 that same night when i drove my truck home the engine light came on mind you i live an hour from dealership and i called my sales rep the next morning to inform him of what was happening and they told me to bring it in the morning which before that i stopped at advance to get a diagnostic test to see what was misfiring i brought them the papers which was the catalytic converters and cylinder misfire they took a month to fix the vehicle and when i got it back at the end of march not even a full day went by and everything electrical shut off in the truck and all the sensors where shut off on the vehicle and i wasnt able to drive the truck properly i called them to let them know and they asked me to drive the tuck back so they could work on it and see what was wrong with it i explained to them how it was unsafe to drive on a major highway with my two small children like that if they could send a wrecker and they said they had noone that he they're is located in ******* well risking risking our lives we took it to them april third and its been there they said they were taking it to a **** dealership to be worked on now its april 25th and i still dont have my vehicle! I called numerous times to both locations this month to inquire about my vehicle and was told it never went to **** that it wasnt worked either and the ***** location said it was worked on at **** and was finished and waiting for the wrecker to bring it i keep getting the runaround from everyone so i called my sales rep which i still had his personal number and he told me that everyone had quit in the ***** location because they were being fraudulent with the customers and he advised me to get my money back and to go look at what my bill of sale showed from the date of perchase everything is in the name of the ******* location the temporary plates aswell making everything look like i bout it in ******* when in fact i did it all in **************Initial Complaint

They refuse to get my tag and registration for *********** temporary tag has expired the loan company has reached out to the dealership and they still do not want to get my tag or at least release DMV paperwork so I can get my tag myself all I need is my tag and registration or them to release DMV paperwork so I can obtain tag and registration myself.they say I have to pay extra money for the tag after loan company said fees have already been paid sells tax is different than property taxes need this resolved ASAP.have had nothing but trouble since entering a deal with truck from mechanical now tag and registration very dissatisfied.i need my tag and registrationInitial Complaint

I have called this business multiply times ive been told to call back that the owner could speak to me. I called back nothing.. Im need to find out the insurance company they use to cover any of their vehicles damages. Its a court order to pay them in restituition unless their insurance covered a vehicle. When attempting to purchase a truck we put $3,000 down payment and took home the truck. For a week they called and said they were attempting to find better financing. When two contracts fell through we took the truck back to the dealer and let them know it was not good business for them to ask us to lie about my employment because I am unemployed and that it was not legal to sell my husband a truck because he could never register it without a license. We returned the truck immediately and asked for our down payment back. They refused and said they would have the General manager assist us. We have never again heard from them. My husband signed the first contracts with them financing through the dealership then they changed to One Main and put me as a co signer so the first contract was void thats what the dealer told us. I have a recording stating that. We feel that it was bad business and we should be refunded our $3,000. I have the bill of sale that was put in my husbands name from the first contract. They told us it could be financed in my husbands name with out a social security number and without a license. We were lied to and tricked they knew my husband couldnt be approved by anyone. I feel like it was theft.
