    I would have used their complaint online system, but I was told Blue Sky Storage does not have one available and the only thing I was given was a number in which I called and left a voicemail at (205) 861-0631 but did not receive an answer. I have been with this storage unit for over 2 years, and I am a ***% disabled veteran on a fixed income, and this agreement (per the lease) states it could fluctuate, however it has only gone up and has gone up on me each year. I stopped by to see what the issue is because it states it goes up to provide high standards, but the gate has been down for months, and the key entry system has been down for quite some time so not sure why we the bill keeps rising, when there has been little to no change to the facility standards. Then the employee stated I could rent another unit that could reset the price, but I would have to move everything out of that unit and into another one, but that seems kind of ridiculous just to maintain a reasonable price for the unit. My bill was at 60ish dollars monthly with my ******** discount then it went up July 1 2024 to **+13 insurance = 90.00, then it went up again February 1 2025 to 90+13 insurance = **3.00 and was told it will probably just increase forever which is unrealistic and I would like to discuss this or let others know this will go down or stay the same and will only increase over time.

    My name is Sara T*******, and I am the District Manager for Blue Sky Self Storage – *********. The customer left me a voicemail on 2/4, and I made him my very first return phone call the next morning on 2/5 where I left him a voicemail. He called me back at ****AM and we had an amicable conversation where I explained that he moved into our facility at the very discounted promotional rate of $** a month, and he also additionally received the 50% Off the First 3 Months as a promotional Move in Special. Please note that the customer moved in on 3/2/24 and has not been with our company for over two years as stated in his complaint. The standard rate for a 5x15 climate-controlled storage unit is $*** a month. Even with the rate increases which were already lowered for him, he is currently receiving a $** discount, which is more than the **% ******** Discount that we are also already honoring for him. I let him know that rate increases are part of business and will continue to occur until market rates are achieved, and customers are always given **-day notices prior to an increase. As a resolution option, we can grant him two months at his previous rate of $** to give him the time to make other arrangements, but we cannot discontinue the rate increase all together as this is a companywide policy. Please note that Michelle Q****** is my Team Lead, and I am responding in her place. Please let me know if you need any additional information which I can release to you with the written permission from the customer who filed the complaint.
