Mountainside Manor, a HUD sponsored apartment, should be shut down for uninhabitable, poisonous living conditions, drug activity resulting in the murder of a female resident in the building next to mine, and management is abusive to disabled elderly tenants.I lived in Apt. 4231 from 8/14/2023 to 1/31/2024. I thought HUD provided clean, safe homes for the disabled.My apartment was contaminated by a leak before my occupancy and hidden by a rubber mat. Management was unresponsive to my pleas for help for 5 weeks while infections deteriorated my body with fever, vomiting, chronic exhaustion, a 20 lb. weight loss, severe anxiety, fear and depression.I hired/paid for a professional mold inspection as the apartment offered no testing and my doctor needed to know what had caused my severe decline. 5 deadliest mold toxins on a body in addition to toxic bacteria were revealed.MM eventually performed an unsuccessful, partial remediation of my apartment that stirred up toxic airborne spores and recirculated them through my contaminated HVAC system. I was hospitalized 5 days later with a severe bacterial infection, borderline Sepsis, a life threatening blood infection.My immunologist demanded that I be released early from my lease. I was forced to throw away all of my belongings to avoid potentially contaminating my new environment-my new bed that I am still paying for, inherited furniture from my parents, keepsakes of my children and my life, suitcases, clothes, purses, shoes, a vacuum cleaner, dehumidifier, air purifier and all possessions.My life was jeopardized, put through terrible anxiety, depression and left financially devastated by these criminals. They have not even returned my security deposit although it clearly states in my lease that it is returned within 1 month of move out. Its been almost 3.MM management should be sued for not honoring their own lease contract and destroying lives. I will continue posting reviews and fighting these criminals.
