  April 19,2023 **** from A and M Rain gutters called me to give me an estimate on underdeck roofing. He mentioned he got our number from BBB. We set up an appointment for a quote. **** came over. I asked, have you ever done underdeck roofing before because I noticed you do a lot of rain guttering. **** said, yes, I just finished two underdeck roofs this year 2023. I asked him to provide pictures. He Explained he didnt take any but not to worry he can do a good job. We agreed verbally on a price $4200. **** told us he could do this job in 1 Day. When he ordered the material on April 19 he ordered the wrong sheet metal paint was on the wrong side. **** told us he noticed it before he came to our home On April 19. We said to **** you need to take it back and get the correct material. **** said the vendor will not take the material back. **** told us he would make it look good. We agreed and nervous on how it would look. The first panel was okay took him 1 day to do 1 panel 4x7 he then told us his was hard and would take another two days. On the third day as he was leaving, installing possible another three panels, he told us it would take another 2 days total of 5 days. This made us wonder if he really did ever do this kind of word. As we went to look at his work on that third day after he left, we were devastated !. He had so two different colored screws in this metal it looked terrible. Dents, gaps, scratches, 2x4 sticking out past the deck above. Ruined our paint on the house. OMG! Our beautiful home. We called him to come back to discuss these issues. We asked him to look at what he did. He thought it looked good. OMG!! We were so afraid to have him complete the job we fired him. I took numerous pictures showed them to others who could not believe his work. Obviously, he wasnt telling the truth about doing underdeck roofing. We have a beautiful in the mountains and his job has just ruined the look. This will all have to be takin down and done correctly. A cost we will have to incur. I did not pay **** and feel I shouldnt have too. I want a full refund from ****. He said we should pay for material. I disagree due to he ordered it wrong. We tried to work with **** but he was pretty hostile. His son who came with him was very mature and courteous. His truck left oil stains on our driveway, house paint job ruined, we will have to hire someone to take down the three pieces he hung and fix all the issues. And what needs to be corrected to the wood he screwed to the sheet metal. All this will cost us more than the job itself. We are seniors we cant afford to pay out more money for a project that was a mess and clearly, he has never installed undeck roofing. We have a set income and a set amount for this project. He is asking for the material cost of **** and took all the materials not hung we did not want any ways due to so many scratches, holes and dents on them.

  I got a certified letter today at the post office. I read the complaint and I was confused. Firstly Im sorry I didnt respond sooner. I dont really check my email unless Im expecting something particular. I saw several embellishments on this complaint ******* sent you guys if not plain lies. The job started out poorly because my roof panels were painted on the wrong side. However it seemed to me that I was lead to believe everything was great right up until the end when they suddenly were very unhappy and wanted me to leave. It felt like they just wanted out of paying. I did ask if I could at least be reimbursed for what I had in materials never mind the 3 days of labor I put into the job. For them to request a refund is ridiculous because they refused to pay me a dime. After I got home that night I got a text from them stattthay they may mail me a check but they never did. They told me they were going to have all my work taken down but didnt want me to take it down. For all I know they could have kept it. I let this go despite the 
  

  Fact that I lost all my loove gas and materials and was broke for two weeks because of it. I find it bad taste for them to be complaining about something they didnt pay cent on.
