I contracted B and C Handyman services to replace my air handler on the 28th of February. I was told that the work would be done on the 2nd of March. I was also told that it would require $1200 up front in order to get the parts, and 1700 total for the job upon completion. After two weeks of excuses on why it could not be done and my family (including small toddlers) suffering from the heat in the home, I requested a refund in full and decided to go with other work. I was told it would take 3-5 days for the refund. On the 20th of March $1000 of the $1200 was sent to my phone number from ***** ******* wife, ****** *****. This money was sent to my phone number on **** ***, instead of the **** *** tag I used to send the money to ***** ***** in the first place. This caused a pending request in which I could not accept the money. After asking for the transaction code from *** ***** for 24 hours to contact **** *** support, he grew frustrated with me and began to use profane language towards me and block my number, while his wife simultaneously canceled the **** *** payment that I was unable to accept, resulting in $0 being given to me. *** ***** owes me $1200 for failure to fulfill his contract obligations, enclosed is the invoice as well as the nasty and unprofessional text messages sent from his phone. The stress and financial hit this business has caused on my modest family situation has caused me a great deal of pain, as I work to support my wife and kids on a single income. I just want the funds back for the work I paid him for, that never got done.

    Business Response

    Date: 04/24/2024

I have been in communication and the payment was sent and he did not accept it on his end via *******. The ******* has now been locked for fraudulent activity due to the amount of request that had been sent as well as it not being accepted. As soon as the account is opened back up I will send it back to him and let him know it has been sent to his *******.

     Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I have not been in contact with ***** *****. I have sent emails, and have had the magistrate office contact him as well. He has my phone number blocked as evidenced by the screenshot I provided earlier. He is making no effort to provide me with the money that he owes me. **** *** is not the only form of payment, he can meet me with cash in hand or figure out another way to move the money. I do not believe he has any motivation to do the right thing and send me the money he owes me.

    Regards,

    ****** *******
