    I started my contract with Workout Anytime on January 9th, 2024. I called customer service two months later to cancel and was told I had to go to the club in person. When I arrived there, I was told I had signed up for a year long contract and wasn’t allowed to cancel until January 9th, 2025. I waited a year and when I tried going in to cancel the membership, I saw a $70 cancellation fee (shown in attached photos), and although absurd I chose a reason for ending my contract and selected to cancel, but it wouldn’t work. Back in 2024, I explained to the woman I had just totaled my car and had no way to get to the gym, so I wouldn’t use it, but was told the contract was set and cancellation was simply not allowed. I’ve paid my subscription for a year, and when I want to cancel they want to charge an insane amount of money? My grievance is that this business makes it incredibly hard to leave, and they use high fees to make their customers stay. All I want is to cancel without losing nearly $75 after paying for a membership I never used in the first place.
