I have been going through this cash cow of a medical provider since July. I go to one appointment, ask questions of the seemingly very novice doctors they employ, and leave with more questions, more tests, more prescriptions, more medical bills, and more copays than a few. I have spent so much on one referral to the next and I feel duped. ****** was like this-subpar medical professionals who knew nothing, but kept you coming back whilst they guessed and charged. I am dismayed by Dr. *************** who has wasted my time several visits-no resolution, no viable input, and not a good outcome or knowledgeable doctor. *** ***************************** who charged $397, to stand across the room and tell me that for sure I had no heart problems, but have I considered it being anxiety. I am a paper away from being a PhD. I have considered a lot of things, but this is not how a doctor should practice. I have a bill for $133. Before I knew that I submitted a complaint only for a manager of sorts to call me and say well we never receive any complaints about **************. Implying that I am unique and perhaps the concern is me, not my valid experience.

I went to Wellstar on ********************* in ********** for a blood test because of brusing on my legs. When I got there they said my heartrate was high and did tests and a heart monitor which I still have a bill for. I later googled to find that the medication I was on produced higher heart rate which they knew. I ended up after insurance with $1800 bill. They said I could apply for financial help which I did. I filled out 4 page app, last years ****, W-2, 3 months bank statements, 3 months pay stubs, signature of anyone who gave me money. It cost over $30 to email this package. ***** later I received a letter that they needed the second page of my **** which later they told me they couldn't use anyway because my dad claims me on his. But they told me to resend the whole package..another $30+ Again, later I received another letter asking for my W2, which I had sent twice but I emailed a third time. This time I had a copy. Again, later I received another letter asking for more bank statements & pay stubs because the delays had made my previous info outdated and the letter said I had 30 days to comply so I called. I explained the whole story and the person who told me it had been in collections for weeks. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was too busy after I held for 30 minutes. She was to call me back which she never did. I went on MyChart to find a note to call a ****************** I called the number and got Ms *** voicemail. I tried at least 5 times over a week but always got the voicemail. This seems like a runaround and a complete waste of time. When I first went on the BBB website to report this I saw another complaint almost exactly like mine. So I'm not the only person having a problem with the Financial Aid Program of Wellstar. Thank you so much for allowing me to release the stress of this frustration.

On 9/23/2022, I made contact with WellStar Medical in-house collection department, ************************ This was not my first experience with this agency since I dealt with medical billing issue with WellStar begin for me in ****. My first interaction with MRS was met with a very nice CSR who understood the situation and took proper action to prevent any negative financial actions to the customer, myself. On this day,09/**/2022, my experience with this agency was met with some hostile, rude individuals (***, CSR and ************* who claimed to be the supervisors) that caused undue stress and worry that did not have to happen. Their treatment was rude, dismissive, very unaccommodating to me as a customer and client to this health care establishment. At one point, i ended the call because to prevent escalation but called back to speak with the supervisor who lacked decorum and knowledge of recent laws concerning medical billing practice and refused to help but remained combative even to the point of hang up on me during the interaction. fyi.. I have the ************* of this "conversation" that was recorded for additional complaints about this incident. As I mentioned to these two individuals, payment is not the issue as I do have insurance and a health spending account that should cover any overages outside of my medical coverage plan. They only had to resubmit or recycle the claim to my insurance company the same why it was done before when first made contact with this agency. But what they did was allow yet another medical bill to impact my credit that following on 09/27/2022 in retaliation to our interaction. This has caused mental stress and financial hardships that could have been avoided. I am not someone to walk away from what i owe.. work hard to make sure everything is taken care of .. I have paid WellStar from my insurance and spending account. Accourding to mychart, they total amount owed is $965.46.
