    $80 service call and a 500% markup on parts? Thats excessive.I completely understand that businesses need to make a profit, but being charged over $500 for a 20-minute visit is more than what many highly skilled professionalsattorneys includedearn for their time.Before scheduling the service, I asked for a quote on both the part and labor. Unfortunately, I was told they couldn't provide that information in advance (which, in hindsight, shouldve been a red flag). Are mistake moving and forward especially after reading other reviews.When the technician arrived, they spent about five minutes confirming what we already knew: that we needed a specific part. We expressed concern about the cost, and a manager offered a modest discount, which we declined.We ended up paying the $80 just to be told exactly what we had already suspected. Afterward, we contacted another company that provided the part at cost ($100) and completed the service for $135.Bottom line: if you're trying to avoid unnecessary expenses--which I think right now most people are, its worth calling around. Id recommend saving yourself the service call fee and going with a company thats more transparent from the start- one that respects your time and your wallet.

    My appointment was originally set for between 2-4 PM. It was changed by ******** one day prior to arrival to between 4-6 PM without ever asking me. The tech did not show and I called Cool Air. I was told that the tech was running late and, if I canceled, it would be almost two months before it could be rescheduled. While I do not believe that true, I was forced to keep the appointment. The tech did not show until 7 PM. I had to hold a flashlight for him to be able to work in the dark outside the house.

    Fraud/Harassment by Cool Air Mechanical ***************** BEWARE of many years Old, Paid invoices being sent for collection.On 10/2/24, Cool Air harasses me with a past due invoice ! I received an invoice for work done on 9/26/22 for $627.07??????Tells me I am past due 2 years later & I need to pay now??When I asked Ms.Aysa on a call, she first said their system did not have any issues and that I owed $627.07 for the work.When I pushed back and told her I had paid it and could prove it in a court of law, she acknowledged that she could see the payment. She then said she now sees a problem in their accounting system and that she will have a supervisor remedy it.What if you dont keep years old records? BEWARE and RUN away - they had great service when I used them, but this financial fraud/harassment which disturbed my peace and day is unwanted. The *** or someone needs to audit their accounting system and see how many such Frauds have been committed by them

When I first read the complaint, I was able to quickly confirm that you made the payment long ago, as you indicated. Upon further investigation, I found that there was a system error that placed your payment in the wrong accounting ledger, showing it present on the books, but not credited to your account. An automated rule became active once the (erroneous) unpaid balance reached a certain age and triggered a new invoice to be sent. This was simply a system glitch that I have verified to have been resolved. I truly apologize for any frustration this may have caused you. However, this was not intentional.     Cool AIr Mechanical installed my A/C unit. I have an elderly disabled man in the home, and in less than a year and five $59 service appointments, the Lennox thermostat goes out. They have 24/7 advertised 24/7 service in ******* in August, but we could not get service until three days later with "We will let you know if we get a cancellation early." I chat online like I am a new customer, and my A/C is out, suggesting it might need to be replaced. The chat revealed they could have a technician at my zip code by five that day. How is this legal with disabled persons at risk? I wrote this exact review on ******* and some rouge employee of Cool Air Mechanical called ************* and said we did not have power. The power utility truck showed up at my house waking all my neighbors to fix our power, while we had power the entire time....just no a/c. I told them we are clearly powered, and I believe Cool Air Mechanical is behind their unneeded services. They were very kind and understood. I want to know what legal ramifications I have not the customer service but negligent and breach of contract/warranty. If the elderly man dies of heat stroke, God forbid, a wrongful death suit for sure. I have evidence of everything I said.

    The *********************** is not our customer and this statement is based off information he knows about a neighbor of his. The neighbor is our customer and has not filed any complaints and received services from us as promised as well as continued his business with us with another service we are set to provide for him next week.We reviewed phone calls that took place and the request for emergecy services ( 24/7 hours) was not mentioned by the actual customer. He took an appointment based off our business hours which was Monday 8/12 and the call came in Saturday 8/10. We do not have any affiliation with power company's or send service request for power companies, so the issue mentioned is not anything we had participation in. Again, we have not service *********************** at ***** and have not done business with him.

    Cool Air Mechanical installed a new AC and water heater the other summer. They installed a damaged part in the ac, refused to replace it and the new water heater installed only gives me really warm water and not hot like my previous water heater. Both people sent out did absolutely nothing to fix the problem or replace the damaged part. The guy who they sent out to check the water heater was combative and was claiming because the water was causing my closed shower to steam, then it was suffice. My water has not left a warm temperature since it was installed and my ac unit makes a rattling sound. They only send people out for their records but its clear if there is an issue, they have zero genuine intention of correcting issues they or their products have caused. But they will make sure the people they send out try to sell you something. I strongly recommend going to another company that values doing the jobs correctly and will actually send people out to truly help you get the problems corrected instead of fooling around.

    Cool air mechanical sold me a service contract for summer and winter maintenance for HVAC unit CAM seems to think giving me winter service in February when winter is very much over and summer service in August is appropriate which makes absolutely no sense when Im already under contract and had my winter maintenance in October and summer maintenance in May previous to the maintenance agreement and then have the nerve to insult my intelligence and be disrespectful when I let them know my agreement was not for when they want to do it but when I called to have it serviced. They get worse every year and lie to their customers with no regards to their initial offer.

    We are very happy with our installation. 12/15/2022 Our sales guy was professional and knowledgeable. This was a big purchase for us, and he helped us understand the different options. Our installation crew was on time and did a great job of taking care of our home. Thanks **** and crew!

    From a company that advertises "24/7, 365" service (which is a blatant lie), we have not been able to get an emergency appointment with two tries. Speaking of, we JUST had one of those 3-4 weeks ago and were told everything was just FINE with this unit. That was of course after we tried to schedule it earlier in the fall, only to be told we couldn't get an appointment for months!UPDATE on the above: Three days after initially calling this in and have heard from ZERO people at Cool Air - so much for that 24/7 365 service they falsely advertise! Turns out all three units suffered from the same issue - improperly installed condensation lines. The attic unit is a HE gas furnace which produces a lot of condensation during heating, yet they ran a condensation line, with no P trap, through around 50' of unconditioned space, including the attic, down an exterior wall, and outside where it drips - or freezes in this case thanks to their improper and negligent install - onto my foundation. The two units downstairs were also improperly installed. First, we found them with gallons of water in their drip pans, yet the emergency cutoffs that detect water did not work on either unit! They had routed the condensation line from the sump pump (given they're in the basement) around 50' to the outside and just laid it on the ground - again right at my foundation, when the could and should have just routed it about 10' away from the units to the drain/sump pump that the hybrid water heater and pressure relief valve drain to.They "custom designed" the system for the house to be the best. Well, within a few months of being in the house, we notice the upstairs unit was struggling to keep to a set A/C temp of around 70 degrees. I determined they had undersized the unit for the amount of sq ft, plus the unit being in the attic, and they had to come out multiple times to tinker with it before they finally admitted to their mistake and replaced it.

    New A/C system installed and from the start the system had leaks. Poor install, The cover on the outside of the home keeps falling off. Managers never calls you back. I've the system two years now and they have come out at least 7 to 8 times and claim I should have no issued, but they lied because the system does not cool my upstairs. Everytime they come out they have to put Freon in it. Woke ** in the morning and the valve is frozen again. Customer service Rep are rude and give you the run around. I now have to take time off work to go in the office the handle this matter. Go with another company. So frustrated with this company. I would not recommend this company. I wish I could give them a zero!

    Called them because they were the best rated via ******* Took 2 weeks for them to come. Charged me $800 for a part I never received. After a week to see if the part had arrived, they told me they'd need to days to get back with me just on the status of the part! I call back and asked them to cancel the order and refund my card. They said it'd take 2 days to do that and they still haven't refunded my money.
