I went to the emergency room ahead of my husband who was in an ambulance and being transported there. I asked for a covid test so that I would not infect those while I was waiting on him to arrive. When he did arrive I was with him in his room while the test was performed on me. At no time was I hooked up to an IV, heart rate monitor or given a bed. My bill is over $1,200. I am not contesting the lab report cost which was over $400 but $1,200 to sit in my husband's room is not in compliance.

We have done a complete review of the consumers concerns and have reviewed the charges billed to the patient. According to our review the charges were billed in accordance with the care provided.
The balance billed to the patient is the deductible applied by the patients health plan. We will be reaching out to the patient to share the outcome of our review and payment options that *** best suit their need.

I had physical therapy at the ************ *********************** and it seems that I did not receive any billing until late May. In this text message, they informed me that my balance was due of close to $700. I had asked what I needed to pay in a ** pay before and they told me it was up to my insurance **mpany. This is the first time I heard about billing in this manner. So, in late May, I started getting text messages that my ac**unt was passed due. How? I have not received one bill! So, I call the IT ***** Because the my portal was not working. She supposedly reset it. Still no access. I called the *** and she informed me that there was a different address that was listed on my ac**unt. A **** or 18 something ******* address. I am livid! How did this happen when I have NEVER LIVED IN *******! She was supposed to **rrect this three weeks ago. No bill. I called **mpliance because now I have **ncerns about someone having my name, medical information and they are mailing this to the wrong address and are still. Now, this s*** is affecting my credit and they should fix this. I want extended payments for this mistake and I want them to erase the ******* address from my ac**unt. I have my credit files locked or they have given these people access to my credit report. This is not good business!

WellStar denied a payment arrangement on the patient portal at an amount less than they allowed but then turned the account to collections. I called State Collections Svcs today to inquire about the account in their possession. To date, no form of communication have been sent by maiI. When asked of the representative WHY, **** could not answer but agreed to send letter for receipt in 5-7 days. The representative mentioned a text was sent, A text is not a legal form communication plus all unknown numbers and text are blocked on my line. Requested copy of **** received from WellStar in January 2022 to be mailed to my home. I have no intentions to pay this collections company; all Payments will continue to be paid to WellStar via the portal or mail for service dateJuly 28, ****. Also, WellStar policy allows applying current year overpayments to a prior balance with funds from a Heath ******** account. This is illegal with the terms/conditions of the **** The funds should be refunded to the *** card immediately. I spoke to ****************** thru the patient portal and phone yet still told this is their policy. I would like for WellStar to stop being greedy and respect the laws related to ***. Btw, this is a second occurrence where overpayment was withheld and applied to a prior year service with funds from ***. When addressed the matter with ***, my personal account was blocked until the funds were refunded. WellStar provide a refund check which was deposited and the repaid to my *** account.

I attempted to secure a medical exam with a neurologist on staff. Upon learning my injuries were sustained from a automobile accident they flatly refused treatment. The were provided my health insurance information, that I was willing to pay out of pocket, and had a referral from another specialist and they still refused treatment as well as refused help in finding another Neurologist outside the Wellstar Health system. I am still having headaches as a result of my accident, and do not understand how medical treatment can be refused to an injured patient, with insurance and the means to pay.
