              On 8/26/2021 my son, ***********************, was admitted to Wellstar ER for respiratory distress. We were never informed of any high cost lab work being done, and Among the bills for his care there is a ***** lab fee. For some type of swab we believe. We have been disputing this charge and seeking & requesting an itemized bill from Wellstar for 6+ months with no clarity on what this ridiculous charge is. We have had similar procedures in the past at fractions of this cost, and believe this was a coding error or intentional upcharge thats being obfuscated and why an itemized bill is being withheld. This bill is now with collections and impacting my credit score, because Wellstar wont supply an itemized bill. Acct ***********

              I was charged over 6, 000 for a MRI that was attempted multiple times, but never completed. My insurance paid over ***** I paid appropriately ***** and now WellStar has sent the account to State Collection, a collection agency. I assume they plan to report it to the credit agencies. I will not pay another ***** for a procedure that was never completed. It does not make common sense that the staff at WellStar Kenestone would keep attempting to complete a MRI with me, the patient on my knees in a through-up position when it did not work twice before. They been paid and should not have been. ******** and State Collection should be shame. The doctor from the ****** center did not send over medication to relax me and I had already driven from ************* twice to complete this MRI, because I have a history of breast cancer.
