I purchased a 2013 ******** gl450 with ******* miles on the vehicle in June of 2024. I put 2000 down on the vehicle with a financed remainder of $15,458. Its only been about 3 weeks and I'm having to replace the engine under a warranty that doesn't cover the entire cost but just a portion. I would like for them to exchange the car with a different one also i believe one of thier "mechanics" cut the heater core hose to bypass assuming it needs a new heater core and they didn't want to pay to replace it. I've included a picture of the damaged cylinder walls that's causing the engine to have to be replaced.Initial Complaint

I purchased the 2012 ******** **** GL450 from the dealership on 9-13-23 for $12,500 cash. I test drove the car before purchase. The car drove good. After completing purchasing the car I was driving home and stopped to buy gas. After pumping the gas the car wouldn't start. I had the car towed home. I spoke with the salesman and was advised to get someone to scan it for a code. This whole time the car dealership was avoiding myself and my parent who was with me at the time of purchase. I recently returned to speak with the salesman on 10-21-23. I was advised that he will still try to get the manager to get the car towed in and looked at. Then the salesman came back and said Saturday is their busiest day and they can't help me at all. The car is sold as is. The car was driven less than 20 miles and will not run.Initial Complaint

On May 11, 2023, I bought a 2016 ******* Tucson SUV from this company for $15,000.When I bought the car nobody told me the car has branded (salvage) title. Of course, I signed on all documents they gave me including the car fax report. When the day I signed the documents, the ******************* were talking to me about my country (******** ) to make me feel good & trusted them. Yes, I had full confidence in their presentation of the car. Now, when I found out the car has branded title, I looked at the folder they gave me with all the paperwork in it. I have all except the carfax copy in it. I immediately contacted them by ************ send me only two pages of the carfax copy which I signed on it that shows I received the copy of the carfax report, though the actual report has multiple pages. So, I went to their dealership to complain issue to the owner. But they keep saying, we provided you the carfax report. I found all this when I tried to trade in the car for another car at a different dealer. The dealer told me the car was worth only $500. I believe it is an integral part of the business to do business based on good faith & giving essential information to their customer. I believe they should give me all information, specifically, if the car has branded title verbally & with full pages of the carfax report. I feel I cheated & lost $15,000 hard-earned money by an unthrust worthy dealership. Thank you!Initial Complaint

I bought a car from Deals4Wheels in ******** ******* August 5, 2022. The car started to overheat same day.I called and spoke to my sales rep. ** told me to bring it back up there the following day. I attempted to do so but the car was running hot so I wasnt going to make it. I then called to see if he would reimburse my towing fee or go half on it with me because it was $300 due to distance. ** then started to get hostile saying hes not responsible for the car anymore and that he was going to take a look at the car only because I had just got it yesterday. Basically saying he wasnt obligated to do anything to car be cause it was (AS IS). So I hung up with him and started to call around to Automotive shops in ********* **. I took car to closest shop ( 1 stop in shop auto Care) they thought it was just low on coolant so they filled it up ($75) and that held it for 2/3 days. The problem came back so I took car back to that shop and let them knew it was a deeper problem than low coolant. They then said it was the whole thermostat housing that needed to be changed. ($300) paid for that and overheating still continued. So I took it to another automotive shop who said the heating wholes were bad and needed to be changed. ($900) didnt have that so I took it to another automotive shop and let them changed the water pump first to see if that was the problem before I paid for holes to be replaced. The water pump part and labor was ($220) paid that and the problem is still continuing. Ive driven this car maybe 5 days out of the 17 days Ive had it. Its been in and out of automotive shops since I got it and Deals4Wheels are just not concerned about helping me resolve problem so at this point Ive given and tried all I can with this car. I put $4000 down on car and Ive spent almost $1000 in labor & parts. Its something deeper going on with this car and no one can seem to diagnose problem. I just would really like my money back so I can find another car. Please and thanks.Business response

Dear ***********;
I understand that you are experiencing difficulties with your purchase, but the order of events and your description of our actions is not accurate. As you stated, I initially told you to bring the car back in the safest way possible to our dealership, but you did not want to tow the vehicle to us, stating that you did not trust our mechanic. We then told you to check what the issue was and let us know so we could assist you. After your inspection, you told us that your mechanic diagnosed the issue as the thermostat housing and that being the only thing that needed to be changed. At that time we came to the compromise that although the vehicle was sold as-is from us, we would cover the cost of the part for the thermostat and thermostat housing and you agreed to pay for the labor to your mechanic. The next day, you drove (NOT TOWED) the vehicle to us in which we gave you the parts as agreed with no charge to you. We have fulfilled all sides of our agreement and went beyond by helping you in an agreed upon manner. Unfortunately at this point, this vehicle has been touched and tampered with and was misdiagnosed by your mechanics, and more importantly, driven while it was overheating (even though we recommended you to tow it) and therefore, we can no longer assess the integrity of it to be able to help you any further.

I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because its totally inaccurate. My first response to the car over heating was to get in touch with you all and get the problem resolved. It wasnt until I spoke with my sales rep and his attitude was completely different from when he was selling me the car. He went from a nice decent person to a person that knew he had done wrong. I say that because he immediately jumped into defense mode when I told him the car was overheating. Instead of lending the helping hand that was needed he repeatedly threw in my face that the car was purchased as is and that the car was no longer his problem which is why I took it to the nearest repair shop. I put $4,000 down on this car and the next day ** having to get the car towed at a $300 expense (due to distance) that he was not willing to go half or reimburse me for. Which is why I didnt get the car towed. Instead I found a car shop near me who tried everything they could to figure out what was the problem with the car. Which is still undetectable so therefore Im waiting on my inspection with *** on the 20th of this month but until then Im left to struggle and figure out how Im going to get back and forth to work, doctors appointment, my kids to school, grocery shop and etc. even though Im paying a car note and insurance on a car I havent driven more than five days since Ive had it. And Im almost sure you all were aware of the problem with the car before you sold it to me for the overheating to start the same day I made purchased. So for you to say the car was tampered with is absurd. The car has been taken to licensed mechanics every time work was done to the car. But before I went my own route and took things into my own hands I offered to let you all fix the car but you stated it wasnt going to be done in a timely manner due to the new inventory you all had just got in stating that those cars were to be inspected first then youll get to my car which wouldve been 2-3 weeks. Not only that, you also asked me to sign a paper stating that the work done to the car couldnt be held against you because you couldnt/wouldnt ensure your mechanics work. So if you dont trust his work why should/would I ? So you basically left me no choice but to handle things the best way I could. My whole point is regardless of what I signed youre dealership sold me a car that was not operable or worthy of being sold. If it wasnt for the warranty I have through the people that financed the car I would be stuck with a non profitable car and still responsible for paying the car off as well as insurance and your dealership can careless about it. Which tells me exactly what type of people you all are. Money only gets you so far before you have to actually start being the decent person you portray to be. Especially to the people that trusts your business to sale them what their money is paying for. If Id given you counterfeit money than we both couldve took a lost but instead I held up my end of the deal and you failed to do yours which is to sell USED but operable cars. So if nothing can be done to my case Id at least like to stop the next person from being in my shoes because that the good in me.

Based on the conversation you had on the phone you were supposed to tow the car back to the dealership and our mechanic would help you. Then, you decided that you didn't want to tow the car to ******** and wanted your own mechanic to look at it. So, as a Goodwill gesture we provided you with the part you said your mechanic needs to address the issue and that's the agreement we made together. then instead of towing the car you drove it to ******** and wanted us to help you fix it instead. We told you that it was not wise to drive a car that was overheating and you would have to make an appointment and sign a Goodwill repair acknowledgement form stating :
"By signing below, I acknowledge that the above-listed repairs that I am requesting the Dealership to attempt are not
covered under the terms of any warranty and that the Dealership is not obligated to perform them. I understand that the
Dealership is in no way creating a warranty of any kind on my vehicle by attempting the "goodwill' repairs to the vehicle
at no charge to me. I also understand that the DEALERSHIP HEREBY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE RELATING TO THIS REPAIR AND ALL GOODS AND SERVICES UTILIZED AND/OR
PERFORMED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS REPAIR. I further agree that the Dealership will not be liable for any
damage to my vehicle or its contents due to fire, theft, an act of nature, or any cause beyond the Dealership's control.
The Dealership will return replaced parts to me unless they are subject to a manufacturer's warranty, a core charge or I
specify otherwise on this Goodwill Repair Acknowledgement."This is a general form if you want a used car dealer to help you fix a car that is sold As-Is. The vehicle you purchased is not a certified pre-owned and all the extra services you would receive if you agreed with the terms was just to keep good customer service. We did all we could to help you with the situation and held our side of the deal. Also, there was a Standard warranty through SWRE-SPP08 a company affiliated with your lender for 12 month ****** miles that would let you take the car to any certified mechanic for any major issues. At this time we have done everything in our power to assist you and went above our contractual obligation to replace the part which you stated was needed.
