    I have a house in a community and ****** is a third-party company that manages this water connection. I recently had a problem with them with the disconnected water without telling me or letting me know ahead of time. The property was not occupied in ****** September and October of this ear, but the claim somehow that the meter for ****** is $175. I did not expect the bills to be that much at all. Plus I was waiting for the bills. They send a water bill every month and if its not paid, they disconnect the water without letting the customer know. Issues:THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO NOTIFICATION BEFORE DISCONNECTING SUPPLY. THEY ALSO DO NOT PICK UP THE PHONE. YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE AND THEY CALL BACK. AND RESTORATION TAKES 24 TO 48 HOURS AFTER PAYMENT. Operational changes needed:They must change their Operational processes ASAP. Water is a crucial utility. People cannot survive without water.. ****** needs to have better processes in place when they are disconnecting water. 1. Once they disconnect the water, they charge $75 connection fee. The *** or the customer needs to be notifird before the water is disconnected. 2. They need to enable a transfer of service in place when there are resident changes. Just like electricity. 3. Quicker restoration of service within (SLA should one or two hours.)Their customer agreement (attached ) is extremely **** and they are running an unprofessional collection operation. We do not have an option. We have to stick with them and dealing with them is very bad experience,

    This business has been fraudulently conducting business for way too long and getting away it by using indemnity clauses. They are overcharging Hoa customers and charging late fees and interest way beyond any reasonable and lawful amount. Late fees are charged on the accrued balances even when there is no water usage, and not on the current balance as it should be. A client recently sold his property in a community services by Jasber and was charged $19k in late fees an interest on a $3k bill in which no water had been used for years. The seller was not allowed to close until the account was paid. They also disconnect condo water users accounts without a judgement or court order despite the Condominium Act. But they hide behind the indemnity clauses that they put in their contracts with the Hoa communities. Often times, because water is something most homeowners/tenants cant do w/out, Jasber often initially wins the battle and the people are forced to pay the extremely high bill plus reconnection fees and other charges in order to get the water turned back on quickly. However, a few owners, specifically those w/out occupants, have been forced to file civil suits against Jasber or the respective HOAs. Injunctions have been issued against the Hoas and Jasber is then forced to turn the water back on, only to charge significant late fees and interest on the accrued balance month after month. They are doing this in mostly marginalized communities where the victims are usually people of color and those with limited incomes. They are not being held accountable by the Hoas that they serve because they are holding these Hoa hostage too by threatening to withhold the monies they collect on their behalf. Its time that people finally hold this predatory company accountable for their illegal and unethical business practices! This is FRAUD plain and simple! No company should be able to charge as the please and do as they please and get away with it! This has to STOP!
