We live in the ********* area and recently had a new roof installed on our home. We were looking for a company to install new gutter and downspouts. A booklet called Best Pick Reports promoted *** Stevens as a reputable company to do the work. So we got an estimate and settled on a price and date. I did opt for the larger gutter size so the price changed and a new contract was drawn up with the new details. The day arrived yesterday and the workers with their truck. They stayed outside on their phones for a long time and I was wondering what was going on, Finally the ******* came up to me and told me to call the office. I said why? He mumbled something about "material costs". So I called and asked what was going on with my installation? They kept me on the phone for a long time and finally informed me that the installation would be twice as much as what my contract was. I laughed at the new amount. I asked for my deposit back and told their office to get their workers and equipment away from my property. Of course the deposit they said would take 8-10 business days to be restored. In retrospect *** Stevens wasted my time, failed to honor their own agreed upon price and numerous other terrible business practices. If I were you I would stay far away from this company and their dubious operation. Do not give them your credit card! They will be a constant pain in your a** with their Robo texting and calling about their service and quarterly billing they will try and get you on. This is not a good company to deal with and their sales people are the dregs of the business world...on par with a used car salesman. Stay Away!Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning

scam, they will send you a sub contractor, who will act as they don't speak English so you let them do whatever they want without explaining you and next day you will receive a bill. stay way! stay away from this scam.Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning

1 starDo not get involved with this business!I highly suspect that it bilks customers out of money by setting up contracts that they then dont fulfill. I asked a neighbor for recommendation on gutter cleaners. Turns out that company had been bought by *** Stevens but the phone tree makes it sound like its still run by the customers longtime company. I set up a yearly cleaning to be done late November. No specific date set by company. Made at least 5 calls to NS to ask when company coming. Soon soon. Then it snowed and iced up here in the northeast. oh well be coming. Right. Never came. I cancelled the contract and did get my money back for not providing the service but I had to fight for it. Agent refused to send email verification of cancelled contract as against company policy. Then waited until my money refunded to my credit card, called my CC company to put NS on a do not pay list with them as I suspect they may try to renew the contract next year. My neighbor who referred them thinking it was his years long awesome company also cancelled and did the same. This is not a reputable company. 1 starI contracted with *** Stevens to clean and maintain the gutters on my new home, the first time they came out their workers left a mess all over my pool patio. I had to call them to return to clean it up. Recently I have tried unsuccessfully over the last two weeks to schedule my next gutter cleaning, in both cases the online representative states he will call me back that day to set the cleaning up BUT NEVER DOES. They seem not to care about customer service and must not need my business, you should not have to beg a company to schedule and execute work. Do yourself a favor find another firm and give them your bushiness so you are not frustrated and having your time wasted by this one!Review fromRosemary M

1 starThe company staff had scheduled to clean the gutters of our house on June 6th 2023 when we were planning to be present in our home. However they came on June 1st when we were out of town. That is not all.They left the discarded materials in our yard, Now we found some of the gutters are leaking.When we called the company they said they will investigate what happened - we did not hear from them, but they sent a bill with late charge fee.Review fromDenise A

1 starWhat a bunch of clowns! I put in for a quote months ago. And now they keep calling from spoof numbers, over and over and over, back to back like little boys with small,,, minds. They were lying about storms in my area recently. It was all nonsensical. The guy decided to play shouting match with me. 1 starMade appointment. Two guys arrive and decide too much gutter lineage for price given. We have used them previously so no additional since previously done. 1 starTheir website touts being BBB A+ accredited! It appears right here that they are not!When they were *******'s Best Gutter Cleaners, I was a satisfied repeat customer. Since ********** ********************** acquisition, they didn't make the first gutter cleaning on-schedule and might not have showed at all had i not contacted them a month later for service of my overflowing gutters. The second visit last spring, their crew was not prepared to access the metal portion of my roof, so those gutters weren't cleaned. In summertime, they came out without prior notice and just did so again, last week, before many leaves had begun to fall. I was content to simply discontinue doing business with ***************************** until I received an unauthorized invoice for another year's service with the auto-renewal box checked. Moreover on a schedule that would have left my gutters clogged with fall leaves until late January! I am not one to auto renew a yearly contract, except for my home internet service. So I went back and looked at my original contract and, indeed, it was not set-up for auto renewal. Naturally, I called them to demand a cancellation of the renewal that I never authorized!Review fromStephanie R

1 starThis business takes advantage of its customers by charging them for future services that have no yet been completed. I was interested in gutter cleaning, when booked I was told its cheaper to bundle 3 cleanings and that they would send out reminders when my next gutter cleaning would be. When I checked my bank account I was charged for not only the service they completed that day but for 2 additional cleanings that have not yet been rendered. How do I know this business will even be open 3 months from now? When I called to complain and get my money back I had to spend ************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************* a reminder 3 months from now when my next gutter cleaning would be. Also said this package would help if people needed financial assistance which isnt true bc they charge you for everything up front. Im still waiting for my money to be returned for services I havent received. No business should ever charge you for services that have not been rendered. If anything a credit card can be kept on file and I should have gotten the option to schedule future services without being charged for it.Review fromTaylor N.

1 starWe called *** Stevens for a gutter cleaning estimate late winter. They were higher in price than competitors. We said we would be using a different company. They offered a discounted rate for a later visit if we would like to give them a try. We asked if they would call ahead and they said absolutely, they would not just show up. Fast forward and they show up unannounced, while we were not home, and clean our gutters anyway. No call ahead. No email. No warning whatsoever! Their automated text they were coming for service actually came through when they were ALREADY on the roof according to security cameras. We yelled through the cameras and told them to stop cleaning and watched as they listened, but ignored and continued the service anyway. We called dispatch to reach them to which they also could not help stop the cleaning in motion. They proceeded to send an invoice. We called billing and both parties listened to the recorded earlier conversations about offering pricing and that they would call weeks ahead of service. He said they couldnt do anything bc the service was completed. STAY AWAY! What a slimy, shady operation *** Stevens is!!! Poor customer service. Shame on you!
