Our son was placed in this location without our authorization from the hospital he was at and ever since he got there we have had trouble getting someone on the phone and when we did we received conflicting information. It look 3 days to get a social worker to call us and still haven't heard from the doc and it is going on the 4th day. We have M*** over our son and tried to provide this information on the first day but I was told that a doc would call us within 48 hours and I asked if I could send the *** to an email but I was told no. I called the next day and was finally given a fax number from a nurse (it is 2024 not 1999, noone use fax anymore). Our son has high functioning Autism and has lived with us for 22 years and for me his mother I have been home with him for the last 4 years working from home, and I would say I know my son very well, a lot better than anyone at that facility and we know his medical history and what medications he has taken in the past and which ones have caused problems. He can become very aggressive on most medications. This is our son and our only son and he almost killed me during childbirth as his parents we are worried to death about him in this facility because we are not being communicated to on how he is doing. The doc has been given multiple messages to call us but this doctor doesn't seem to think it is important to call his parents to discuss his treatment etc.. I am so frustrated with how this place has treated us as parents of a high-functioning autistic 22-year-old who is 15 mentally. I almost feel like these facilities just like to drug patients up and keep giving big pharm money to dilute the American people. I hope one day soon we have a better program for mental health patients because as of right now every time he has been in one he gets worse and worse and slips more away from who he is. Perhaps one day we can get back to a holistic way of healing folks like it was intended without greed and power.
