January or February of joined Peach ***************************** Golf club.It was presented as if not needed you can cancel anytime. We paid dues until April, they attempted to cancel, to no deaf ears or eyes.I am 65, my husband disabled veteran 73 years of age, we are on fixed income. They ignored us, and recently sent us to a collection agency, seems like harassment of a disabled veteran and spouse, let alone abuse. Now I received emails asking us to join again, It seems someone there does not understand our complaint. or just do not care.

On March 6, 2023 I wrote an email to cancel our Clubs of PTC membership (after years of membership). It was rec'd by *************************** and she confirmed our last day was April 6, 2023 (based on a 30 day notice). We were billed $196 on 3/31/23 which clearly said "Your Last Bill" and included April charges. We paid this bill in full. Then we received a bill for $21.40 on 4/30/23 for unpaid food minimums in April (for the 6 days? what?). I have called and left at least 5 messages and emails to ****** and the billing office manager. My husband has also left at least one message. I also submitted a billing dispute through invitedclubs.com about 3-4 weeks ago, for which I the message said we would get a response withing 24 or 48 hours. I have not had one response to any of our messages or the dispute. I would like an explanation of why we are being billed after what was indicated as our last bill and why we are being billed a full month of food minimums when we were only members for 6 days of that month.

I joined the golf club in *** 2022. I was not able to keep the membership due to my child's illness and followed the cancellation process by providing a 30-day written cancellation notice in January 2023. I continued to be charged in March 2023 and when I called to find out why, I was told that I would have to pay a $1,000 fee for canceling prior to 12 months which I was not aware of. The email I received just stated that a 30-day notice was needed for membership cancellations and did not mention anything about a $1,000 charge for doing so. The Director called me and said that my membership would be up in *** so it would be cheaper to pay through that time and that she would call me back later to confirm. She never called back, and even though I continued to contact them through phone and email, no one would respond or return my call. They continued to take monthly payments out and sent a final bill for *** for $150. Although the bill was listed as $150, they drafted $575 out of my account. Again, no one would respond and let me know why they took so much more out of my account and continue to bill me through *** 2023. I receive another bill for $0 for **** and it stated that $150 was the previous payment, which was completely false. I was apparently double penalized and forced to pay a cancellation fee as well as pay through *** 2023. The Club either owes me all payments paid after February 2023, or the difference between $150 and $575. I was not provided any prior notice of this over-charge. The Directors have absolutely refused to return my calls, emails, or my money. Below shows the amount deducted from my Navy ******************** **********/26/******* ******* **** Check Card **** - CLUBCORP SERVICE C *********** TXPOS-$575.00

Visited the clubs to determine if they were a fit for our lifestyle. The person that showed us the club and explained the amenities. He advised that we could do a trial, and if determined that it was not ideal, we could cancel with no problem. My husband has tried since March to cancel, and he has challenged the charges to his credit card.We do not play golf, the club near us has very little to offer and since most things are still ** in the air, it is difficult. My husband is a 71-year-old veteran, determined by the VA to be 100% disabled, so as such our funds are limited, especially in light of the extreme increases in just day to day costs..
