I am filing a complaint against John B. Miller & Associates, P.C. for inadequate legal representation and unfair billing practices regarding a dispute with my ********************** (***) over solar panel installation. After paying $2500 for legal representation, I initially met with **** *. *********************** but my case was quickly reassigned to a junior attorney and paralegal, requiring me to restate my entire situation. The firm drafted a weak demand letter that was promptly rejected by the **** Their argument, based on the Fair Housing Act, failed to address Georgia solar laws, selective HOA enforcement, and governance ********* seek clarity, my wife, Mrs. *********** paid an additional $75 to meet with Mr. *********************** who promised to investigate and follow up. However, no meaningful updates or resolutions were provided. The firm ignored crucial arguments, including:Georgias legal protections for homeowners choosing their electricity source. The HOA allowing other unapproved modifications while targeting our solar panels. The HOAs failure to transition control to homeowners, making their enforcement questionable. The financial harm caused by denying our $70,000 solar investment. We are requesting the BBB to assist in stopping further billing ($2900), securing a refund of the $2075 retainer and consultation fee, and having the firm acknowledge their poor handling of our case.

We retained ************ Miller and Associates in September 2021 in regards to a probate matter. After being passed around and billed by 3 different lawyers the 4th one *********************************** was assigned the case in December 2022. Mediation with the estate Executor was scheduled for ***** A settlement was reached where the Executor must make all payments ON OR BEFORE AUGUST 31, 2023 or vacate the estate and resign. This was to be a complete and final agreement. No exceptions as it was a binding contract. Although we made clear to ************************ that no extensions would be given, she negotiated behind our backs to extend the deadline. In addition she threatened that unless I signed a Quit Claim Deed I would be found in contempt of court and coerced me into signing it before even receiving any money from it. Once I did, she took it out of the office down the hall and had it notarized and witnessed by two people that I NEVER EVEN SAW. Needless to say, the Executor never made his payments to buy me out and I have a Quit Claim Deed out there that signed away the rights to my inheritance. We dismissed *********************************** on 9-8-23 and after much more time and money got the judgement in April that removed the Executor and found out that deed NEVER needed to be signed for the payments!! We sent a complaint to the law firm in January and in February received message from *************************** that he would look into it and get back to us. We never heard from him again but he billed us for all the time he spent looking into it. They also bill us for communication with opposing party or new lawyer even though they were dismissed last September. ************************ stated that her fees would not exceed $15,000 however we paid her more than that and she continues to bill us. Not only her insistence to alter a court agreement and having employees illegally notarize documents but continually billing charges after being dismissed does not seem to me a reputable way to run a business.

We are very unhappy with the services of **** ******************************************** We hired this firm in August of 2023 and sent our retainer. The only information received from this firm is a monthly bill showing how the retainer is being spent. They have not made any progress in this case and bill for the same thing every month. We have called repeatedly and left messages. Both **** ********************** and the paralegal have not returned any calls nor they give you an update or notify you of progress. We feel we have no other option but to find ANOTHER attorney and start this entire process over. We have wasted time and money. I WOULD NOT recommend this firm to ANYONE! We are totally dissatisfied. Mr ********************** sold us a bag of c*** promising to solve this issue. We are no further along than we were when the firm was first retained.

I hired this attorney's office to help me with a probate case and file a caveat. In other words to contest a Will. The owner of the practice, "************ Miller" assured me that they could help me. After speaking with him, he had his staff conduct an intake process and I was told that I needed to pay a $5,000.00 retainer upfront. I paid the retainer. I was also told that I needed to keep a $1500.00 balance monthly to keep the case going. I was doing that until recently, I realized I was being completely railroaded. For one, I have had three attorneys representing my case since I hired them. The first attorney was ******************************* who filed a caveat on my behalf, the second one was *************************** who I never had an encounter with, and then the third one is *********************. All three of these attorneys have touched this case in some shape, form, or fashion to only leave the firm so apparently there's a very high turnover. The main complaint that I have is that I was advised that the firm would be representing my two siblings and me and I was told that I would be the spokesperson for the family. A caveat was filed on my behalf without so much as including my siblings. When I brought this matter to the case manager, "Harmony ******* I was told that when my siblings received service from the court to have them simply respond by letter stating that they were not in agreement with the Will presented and to mail the letters via certified. She also asked me to take photos of the envelope as well as the letters. I did that and emailed them to her to get the ok to mail and she stated that it was ok to send them off. Needless to say, the judge responded to my sister's letter advising that she needed to file a caveat as well. With this being said, I have been completely misled and lied to about this firm representing all three of us. Further, I spoke with the owner over a week ago and he advised that he would look over my case and get back with me in a few days and I never heard back.

I filed a probate case with John B. Miller & Associates for Letters of Administration. When I paid the retainer fee, I informed the lawyer that I had a contract on a piece of property in the estate, so things needed to move quickly. This was early October 2021. By mid December 2021, I called to check on the case, and was told the lawyer I spoke to had not filed it with the court because he was recovering from back surgery. So, of course, I wanted to know who was handling the case and was told they would be transferring it over to another lawyer. In early January, they called me in to sign paperwork. By mid April, I called again to find out what was taking so long. They informed me they filed the paperwork in January and had not heard back from the courts. I called the court and they informed me they only had the petition on file but they needed more paperwork. I called the law firm back and spoke to a paralegal, ******** and explained what they needed, because Muscogee County will not call them if something is missing. The law firm must reach out to the court. I called again in late May since I had not heard anything and then the blame game began. ******* blamed the clerk and vice verse, so ******* **** me everything she had submitted to the court with a very detailed explanation. Two weeks later, my buyer pulled out of the contract. At this point, I was furious. I asked to speak to ************ Miller himself. He called me and I relayed to him what had transpired and that his law firm has caused me to lose my contract/buyer. During our conversation, he asked if I was "low income" because it was written in my file that I was. I told him no. That same night, I received a ****, depleting all of my retainer fee and $1768 added to my ****. They mishandled my case and charged me when I complained about their services. The only cost I feel obligated to pay is the $819.00 fee for *******'s detailed email. I have no idea what "Pet." is but I was charged $75
