We paid **** of ************* $224.50 on 8/25/23 to fix the driveway gate we purchased from them a few years ago. I called the company on the next business day to tell them it still didn't work, and **** came back out. He said that after he left on 8/25/23, the control board must have gone bad, and we would need to pay an additional $650 for the part, plus labor, in addition to what we already paid. I refused. I called another company who fixed the problem in 15 minutes and charged us $100. On 9/1/23, I spoke with a manager named *******, who promised a full refund to Am Ex for the $224.50 we paid to fix the gate that **** didn't fix. He said he would do it that day or the next, but Am Ex still hasn't;t heard from him, nor will ******* return my calls.Business Response

Sorry to hear about this issue and that we were not able to fix this customer's gate to their satisfaction. I did follow up with our management team and we have processed the credit back to this customer for their initial service charge. That was completed last week and we informed the customer that it could take up to 7 days for the bank to refund their money. She should see the refunded money returned back to her this week, and she is welcome to reach out to us directly if she does not see it.
Thank you,

I am showing that the refund was processed last week, so the customer should see that on their statement. I apologize that it wasn't completed sooner than this, but please let me know if you do not see this on your statement so I know if there is still an issue to resolve here.
Thank you.

Deceptive Business Practice. On April 6, 2020, I received a quote for a lifestyle screen of $2,358. I paid $1,180.00 for the deposit. I was assured that I would have my screen installed and in place by the tentative date of May 9th because I was hosting for Memorial Day. I was also told that if it's raining that the screen could be put together in the garage and installed. I was scheduled for May 26 from 12pm to 4pm. I called the morning of and confirmed the appointment. I was also told that if it does rain, they can still build the product in the garage. I received a call at 11:30am that they will need to cancel the appointment because it MIGHT rain. It didn't rain in Fairburn. Overhead Door Company of Atlanta exercises deceptive business practices just to make a sale. The lack of consideration to call 30 mins before my appointment caused me to miss out on other opportunities.I would like a full refund.Business Response

I hired Overhead Door to help with replacing a damaged garage door on my house. After waiting 6 months for the door to come in, the first door was the wrong door we ordered. Once the right door was ready two months later, the installation was fairly quickor so we thought. The door immediately started malfunctioning. It wouldnt close all the way. At times, when it would close all the way, it it would reopen without us knowing. This was always a safety hazard since we have two young kids. I asked the company to come back out and fix the issue before I paid the final balance. They sent someone out, said it was fixed, and when I checked that night it still wasnt working. They were eager to collect the final balance and move us along. I insisted that the issue be fixed because that is what Im paying for. They were clearly annoyed and said theyd send someone else. Weeks went by. I called again and they had no record of someone scheduled to come out. They finally sent someone and he said he fixed the door, and he said he had to collect payment while he was there- he left and of course the door isnt closing properly still! I had my card reverse the charge since the issue isnt resolved. I guess the company doesnt care about doing quality work - they just want their money- after several months of repeated calls and emails for someone to fix the issue, and several no-show appointments- theyve recently decided to threaten to place a lien on my house(for a $1500 balance ) . Absurd. Never do business with them.Business Response
