      I called about a quote regarding hurricane damage to a property in Augusta, GA. Guy named Dean came out to give an estimate and was very quick to respond initially. After seeing the property and inspecting the damage, Dean called to say he would have another guy give a second look because of damage to a firewall. Never heard anything back. Waiting for the estimate, I called Dean to see where it was as it had been a few days. He said he would send it over first thing the next day. He did not, until I called (his direct line first, no answer) the Buckhead roofing office and the receptionist put him on the phone. The estimate I finally received had a single dollar amount with no breakdown of line items or scope of work to be addressed. My insurance adjuster basically laughed at it because the estimate was twice the estimated cost from insurance with no explanation as to why. Having been a contractor myself, this looks like pricing out a customer to get rid of or avoid doing the job for other easier possible more lucrative jobs. I get it, I've been there, but never so blatant. Called Dean to let him know o would need an itemized estimate. That was five days ago and I've called a Dean at least 3 times since to hear nothing but excuses and empty promises. Anyways I'm done trying with this company. Totally unprofessional and reception was rude when I called to leave a complaint, so they don't care either. I don't know what company to recommend, but do know which one to avoid. Having read the other posters review I'm glad it didn't work out with Buckhead, maybe it was for the best and I've avoided a scammer. I will never not tell people to avoid this business. I will go out of my way, every time someone mentions roof work, to let them know not to use this business. All Dean had to do was follow through with his word, Deans word is useless. P.S. I've gotten two fully itemized estimates from two other companies in the time that I've been waiting for Dean.

These additional steps were taken to ensure our estimate was comprehensive and accurate, especially given the extensive hurricane damage in your area. Estimate Delivery: The estimate included not only roof repairs but also structural damage. Insurance companies often undervalue claims, and we see this repeatedly in our work with hurricane-affected homeowners. We have helped numerous customers secure the funds they need for proper repairs by working with public adjusters, which Dean was actively arranging for you as well. Rude Interactions with Staff: When you contacted our office, our team made every effort to assist you. Unfortunately, you refused to provide your name or relevant details to expedite the process. Despite this, our staff identified your call through caller ID and had Dean promptly call you back. We understand the stress of dealing with hurricane damage, but we kindly ask that communication remain respectful. Insurance Company Challenges: Your frustration with the insurance company’s unwillingness to approve the necessary funding should not be lumped with our company’s efforts. The gap between our estimate and your insurance company’s payout reflects their limitations, not an issue with our pricing. We aim to provide honest, thorough estimates that address all necessary repairs—not shortcuts dictated by underfunded insurance payouts. Unfounded Claims of Avoidance: The claim that we were “pricing out a customer” or avoiding the job is unfounded. We are dedicated to helping all customers, especially during critical times like hurricane recovery. We are currently assisting numerous families with similar challenges, often going above and beyond to ensure their homes are repaired properly despite insurance limitations. We understand your frustration with the insurance process and the urgency of your repairs. However, the accusations in your review are neither accurate nor fair to our team, who worked diligently on your behalf. We wish you the best in resolving the damages to your property.

      this is a great company. I knew I would enjoy the service after speaking to one of the salesman over the phone. He was very informative patient and professional and I am excited about the outcome performance of the work provided 10 out of 10.
