Piedmont Hospital Stockbridge Georgia Four Months Ago, I Suffered A Stroke.I Was Admitted To Piedmont For ******* That Time (June 07, 2024) I Stayed In Hospital For Approximately 5 Days.I Could Have Been Out In Three Days But I Was Force To Stay For Additional Days Because Their MRI Machine Was Non Operative. That Being Said I Was Sent A Bill For $13200. This Should Have Been Less Because Health Care Providers Should Not Be Forcing Patient To Stay In Hospital For (Observation), To Make Additional Funds. The Minute I Sent A Letter To Piedmont My Bill Was Turned Over To A Collections ***************** Provider Taking Care Of Individuals Should Not Be Charging Excessive Amounts.I Have No Insurance But Yet, This Hospital Continues To Over Charge. I Even Request Financial Assistance From This Hospital For Which I Was Denied. When Asked To Appeal I Was Told That Would Not Be Necessary Because They Would Again Deny.

Newly installed parking system at Piedmont Henry Hospital in *********, ** prevented me from attending my scheduled Phase II cardiac rehabilitation appointment. I underwent a coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) on May 17, 2024, and this rehabilitation program is crucial for my recovery and long-term health.Upon arrival at 7 a.m., the parking area was inaccessible due to a malfunction with the parking entry system. Despite following the instructions to obtain a ticket, the machine did not respond, and I was informed by a gentleman over the microphone that the system was experiencing technical difficulties and to "call back later." This instruction was vague and impractical, as I could not simply "call back" to attend my in-person rehabilitation. After 20 minutes of circling the hospital grounds in search of parking, I returned home without attending my session. This experience is particularly disheartening because this cardiac rehabilitation is essential for improving my recovery and longevity post-surgery. Recently, Piedmont Henry installed this parking entry system and began charging patients for parking, including those attending rehabilitation. I find this practice unacceptable. The hospital should not place the financial burden on patients who require life-saving care, nor should they implement equipment that restricts access to essential services due to technical failures.I filed a complaint today, October 21, 2024, with the hospital and asked that they kindly address this situation by:Rectifying the technical issues with the parking system ****************** the policy of charging cardiac rehabilitation patients for parking.Ensuring that future access to care is not impeded by malfunctioning equipment.Patients have a right to access the care they need without these unnecessary obstacles. I trust that they will take the necessary steps to resolve these issues, as they not only affect me but also other patients who rely on their services.

I was taken to the hospital via ambulance for a medical emergency. I have a condition called POTS and hypoglycemia, in which can cause me to faint. My sugar that day was 62. which is low. when I was trying to get up to go get a nurse because I had been waiting for a while, I was concerned about my sugar, I passed out and hit my head. a random stranger saw me and went to go grab a nurse. I was in pain and about 5 to ten minutes of me being on the floor a doctor came with a nurse and I told them that my head and shoulder was hurting and that I had POTS and I had just fainted. I told the doctor that I was in pain and she said that they were going to give me a pain shot. They left and came back and told me that they were giving me a pain shot and injected me with two shots. they picked me up and put me on the bed. I asked the nurse what did they give me because I started to feel sick. She told me that they gave me ******* and *******. I asked her why did they give me a sedative when they told me that they were giving me a pain shot? she apologized and said that if there was anything else that I needed, that she would help me. They then called security and the male security came into the room and told me that the doctor had 1013 me. I asked for a supervisor because I informed the security guard that I did nothing for that to happen. he then told me that I could remove my clothes or they would forcefully take them off of me. I asked again to speak with a doctor or a supervisor because this wasn't right. I stated that I do not consent and they physically assaulted me by grabbing me and forcefully removing my clothes, I kept saying please stop, I do not consent. I told them that I was raped and was scared. they still proceeded to remove my clothes against my will. All of this is on their body cams. I was mentally evaluated and the doctor had to rescind her 1013. I later found out that the doctor called CPS and committed libel against me by saying that I placed my kids in danger. and she also stated that I threw myself into the floor. I passed out. The doctor wasn't around when I passed out, nobody was. so how can you speak on something that you didn't witness. If you decide to take my case your going to want to view the notes and time frame from the Dr. versus the nurse. it proves that the doctor continually committed libel against me. I was drugged, held against my will. My name was slandered, and CPS was called. I would like to hold the Dr. at Piedmont Henry Hospital and the hospital accountable for the trauma, assault and libel committed against me.

March 6 - March 10 and March 11 - ongoing 2023. Orthopaedic unit staff and regular support staff.Right hip revision surgery performed Mar 6th. Follow up care thereafter was and continues to be unacceptable and most times abusive and/or neglectful. Medications had to be requested multiple times and had to fight for getting pain meds every time except when 1 caring nurse was on duty. The others argued it wasn't time yet though I made sure to beg/request them at the correct times or was told they were coming but did not deliver them until ***** mins later. They also argued that ** was an issue even though long documented history of low ** which I had to get Dr to override whenever they finally decided to get in touch with him each time. Contacted front desk for simple requests like ice packs which were ignored and had to ask again whenever nurse or care staff showed up in person. All nurses save one and care support staff here have been and continue to be combatative, rude, dismissive and decidedly uncaring. I did not wish to be in this situation and in extreme pain but have been treated as if I'm demanding and impossible in requesting standard help each time when I just want to have pain controlled within parameters set and receive standard help for my condition. I have also had doors slammed repeatedly in my rooms and purposely had pain inflected on my persons whenever I had to be moved around. I have not asked anyone to go above or beyond to assist me. This is the 1st hospital I have ever been in where the staff and nurses have behaved so deplorably. There has been only 1 nurse who gave actual care and behaved professionally at all times. I only came back to this place because original surgery was performed here and wasn't given a choice of where to go after hip that was operated on popped out of joint at home. Piedmont Henry Hospital needs to be held accountable for all of this.
