    Business Response

This guest Mrs. ******* checked in and at check in was told that its a $100 deposit and she would get it back after check out. The guest told me that her guest would be paying it in cash when he arrived in 10 to 20 minutes. I told her to just bring it back and gave her the key so she did not have to wait in the lobby. Mrs. ******* never brought the money back so I locked her out of the room as she stepped away due to I was helping another guest when they left. As Mrs. ******* returned and was locked out of the room she came to get new keys, and I told her that she told me she was bringing the deposit back and never did. She did not want to pay the deposit so I told them I could not allow her to stay without it. Mrs. ******* and her guest was the one who wanted to leave and I informed them that they would not get a refund. She stated she was just going to call her bank and report it as fraud and just get the money back. She lost that case, lost her complaint to Choice about it because all she had to do was pay the refundable deposit and be able to go back into her room.
