On 2/27/24 I called HLC Doors and Windows and purchased a door. on 3/22/24 I was notified that the door was ready. Because I mainly stay in **********. I informed them I will not be bale to pick the door right away and they agree to hold on to the door until I can pick up the door. On 4/6/24 I rented out a truck and picked the door. The staff loaded the door on the truck and also secure it in the back of the truck for me. Later that evening, the door was installed. After the door was installed I notice a dent on the door and it appears as if someone attempted to repair it but did not do a good job at repairing it. I called HLC to informed them of the dent and told them that I would like this to be fixed with either a discount or replacement of the door. The supervisor attempted to blame the damage on me and told me that the damage occurred during transportation. After some back and forth and realizing things were not going anywhere, I asked to speak to the owner. He asked that I sent him pictures I was first asked to bring the door to their location for them to fix it and that could not happen because I already discarded the old door. He told he will send someone out to replace the door. I arranged for my neighbor to give him access while I was away in *******. While observing via camera installed at my house, the door was being fixed instead of being replaced. I called the person and asked why isn't the door being replaced and he mention that he will fix it and remove the dent from the door. He told me that he will send pictures when he is done. After he finished the manager called and told me that I must paint the door indoor to properly hide the dent on the door. I decided to paint the door and the dent can still be seen on the door. The owner told me to paint the door at least 3-4x to properly hide the dent and he will reimburse $100 for paint. I told him that he sold me a damage door and is unwilling to make things right since I paid ***** for the door.
