I purchased a 2018 Jeep Compass from el camino on Saturday March 2nd 2024. Immediately upon leaving the car had issues. The vehicle would not shift and multiple lights lite up on the dashboard including the check engine light. I reached out to my sales person and was advised the issue would be fixed. We agreed for me to bring it in on March 4th 2024. I did. They requested to keep the vehicle to fix it. I agreed. They wouldnt loan me a car bc of insurance and tag purposes their words, so I got a rental. I was in a rental from 3-4/3-7. When I got the jeep back I noticed a few minor things were still out and not working. The headlights were supposed to be fixed, but werent. By the time I made it home on the 7th with the fixed jeep it was still having shifting issues and not accelerating. I dropped the car off on the 9th to be fixed again. Once again I had to get a rental out of pocket. I received lie after lie about the progress of the car. Finally, On March 20th I received a text from the salesperson stating Hey this is *****, how are you? Well ******************* told me the jeep still having problems. They want you to choose a different car.Now I was left scrambling to find a different car at one of their 4 lots. I picked the best of what was available. I chose a 2012 Mini ****** with ****** miles. *** and behold 4 days after purchasing the ****** the same problems arose. The check engine light has come on and the car is not shifting. The car has a burning smell coming from it and smoke from the exhaust and under the hood. The car lot refuses to refund my money and has requested they tow the car into their mechanic to be fixed. I agreed, but they never showed up to tow the car on Tuesday March 2nd as we agreed to. On Wednesday March 3rd we reached back out and they said they would be picking it up at 4pm, no show. We called and they said the tow truck was stuck in traffic. Here we are on March 5 th still no tow truck. Its safe to say we are dealing with crooks!

The ******** location is specifically who I am complaining about. The first time they made me pay $3000 down on a lemon. I immediately called and once they learned the issues, they stopped communicating with me. Time for the first payment. I havent been able to even work! They told me to come back and trade it, also make a payment. Traded. Paid $500And that was also a lemon. I only made it home with both of the cars. Both also had transmission issues along with others. I almost crashed on the interstate. Now Im stuck in another state and they refuse to answer my phone calls. This company needs to be put out of business. They are a scam.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent car buying experience at El Camino Auto Sales, located at *************************************************************************. I believe it is essential to share my experience to help others make informed decisions and to bring attention to what I perceive as unethical business practices. On November 10, 2023, I purchased a used car from El Camino Auto Sales for $8,500 (out the door price, paid in cash). Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned into frustration as the engine light illuminated the very next day, on the morning of November 11, 2023, when I started the vehicle.Upon contacting the dealership to address the issue, I was informed that the car was sold "as is," and they had no intention of inspecting or rectifying the problem. This response left me perplexed and concerned about the integrity of the transaction. In light of the situation, I took the car to a reputable repair shop for a thorough inspection. To my dismay, the inspection revealed significant engine damage, indicating that it was likely a pre-existing issue known to the dealer. It is deeply troubling that El Camino Auto Sales sold me a vehicle with concealed failures, putting me in a compromising and financially burdensome situation. This experience has left me feeling deceived and taken advantage of as a customer. I believe that such business practices are unacceptable and warrant attention to prevent others from falling victim to similar circumstances. I kindly request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate action to hold El Camino Auto Sales accountable for their actions.I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and trust that steps will be taken to address and rectify the situation.

I purchased a vehicle (April 2022) from EL Camino Auto Sales after receiving the final contract from the finance company and then became aware that an extended warranty and gap insurance were added to the contract without my approval. After repeated attempts to have these added items removed from the contract, I retain an Attorney to have the items removed from the contract. After being contacted by the Attorney, the Dealership (EL Camino) repossessed my car (June 2022). I have received a default judgment from the State Court of ****** County, *******. EL Camino has not answered the Court and has not given any indication of willingness to address the outstanding complaint.

I purchased a vehicle 53 days ago from this dealership, within 3 weeks my vehicle was over heating. My husband and a friend who works an auto part store made sure to keep all fluid levels where they needed to be. Once my vehicle was over heating I took it to ******** automotive on ******* hwy. upon inspection they told me I had some type of combustion getting into my engine. I would need a new head gasket and possible some cylinder. They advised to call the dealership I purchased from as this happened to quickly after purchase. I called the dealership and spoke to who said they were the manager. He said since I paid CASH ($7,800) it had no warranty and they could recommend a mechanic to do the work cheaper, I informed them my mechanic said fixing it wouldnt even make sense since I had just purchased. The manager refused to any kind of help in rectifying what problem was probably already there when purchased.
