I just bought a **** F150 Lariat, I went and got the tag and title on September 5th, after doing so I decided to get the truck washed and get an Oil Change done around 5-6pm to be on the safer side before I start driving the truck from work and back. This was all done at a ********* Change on *************************************************** About 14 hours later the next morning Im in the interstate heading to go to work and my truck stops decelerating, the engine stops, one of my spark plugs and coil packs completely exploded inside my engine, I pull over on the interstate and pop open the hood the coil pack and spark plug are completely mangled, my oil cap is smoking and the entire engine is locked up. How does a truck that was running completely smooth end up locking up after a simple oil change?! I now have to pay for an entirely new engine which will cost me around ********* dollars on top of the ******************** to get the engine put inside my truck? I had a certified mechanic look at the truck before I bought it and tell me it was completely fine! Just for a simple oil change my price went from 60. Something dollars to 3000 to 4000? Are you kidding me? I made a claim against the shop and their mechanic came out and looked at the truck and told us to call corporate because the shop manager wont take responsibility? I call corporate and all they do is give me the run around about how its a franchise location and the owner will get back to me by the end of the day? Its been two days already I have yet to get any call from anyone up there and my truck is still screwed! This is absolutely disgusting behavior from people that claim to be a business!

    *** ******,

We're sorry to hear about the recent issues with your vehicle. This is Shop #**** and is actually one of our franchise locations. You'll need to contact the phone number found on the receipt and request to speak to the shop or district manager. For legal and privacy reasons, I cannot provide their contact information to you, but I will pass your information along to the franchise owner and let them know of the issue and to contact you. If you have a copy of your invoice to share that will speed up the process of investigation for them.

Thank you for your patience and your feedback,

I am rejecting this response because: Ive heard this over and over from both parties it appears that neither one of you own to take accountability for the damages. I have to work, which requires me loading equipment onto the back of my truck and trailer I cannot do so if the truck itself is inoperable because of your company! I keep hearing from both of you that I need to call this person and then I need to call corporate you both keep pushing the blame on to each other and it is seriously ridiculous. My truck was fine before I took it to that shop, I dont care if they are a franchise location they are still under contract with you. Im constantly being told that the owner will call or the district manager will call but no one has called me at all. This entire situation is ridiculous replace the motor in my truck get it fixed and get it over with. Im tired of both parties beating around the **** I will take legal action if needed. There is no way my truck burnt through 6 quarts of oil overnight while it wasnt running yall are at fault here. Fix my truck and stop playing games. This is horrible business practices and I hope yall can do better. Someone needs to pay for the damages and it wont be me. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY it is not that hard! Im tired of talk both blaming the other!

My son went there to get a simple oil change. He leaves goes home. Next morning he heads to me in ******. Truck brakes down on I 20. I go to him. Theres no oil in truck I go get some to put in trying to see if I can get it off 20 to a safer place. Truck wont budge. I have the truck towed to my work at my exp. Only to discover the engine is locked up. Contacted them. They had someone tow the truck back to them. Met a guy from another store out there named *****. He gets under the truck no signs of it dumping the oil out. I ask then wheres oil he states I dont know. 6 quarts of oil doesnt just disappear. He says oh you have a bad plug I said it didnt. I also stated a starved engine (meaning no oil) can and will over heat damaging plugs. He just keeps telling me to call Corp. I have they have given me and my son the run around BIG TIME! Have spoken to **** at Corp more than once who has done nothing but give a run around. I also was informed that the manager at this location appeared to really be under the influence of drugs. Corp knows all of this and still giving the run around. All I want is the problem fixed. The engine in the truck will have to be replaced. And there telling me now that I have to pay again to have it towed out of their parking lot. Also the *** ***** from the other store made a comment to me about how crappy this location was. All were seeking is for it to be fixed. But only getting a run around. This company alone has so many complaints against them already.

Took my car in for an oil change on 1/4/2023. Shortly after the oil change my check engine light came on and the engine started running rough and shaking. Had car towed to local Jeep dealership who informed me that my car didn't have enough oil in it causing the engine to run rough and a coil pack to go bad. My Jeep has never had any engine troubles, check engine light on, etc until we got our oil changed at Take 5. Paperwork from Jeep dealership shows "Caused by oil below safe on stick"Take 5 is claiming that my oil is low due to leaking from my oil cooler but this is not true and confirmed by the Jeep dealership. They also are trying to claim that it is caused by my spark plugs, but my spark plugs have already been changed once in my car and the car has less than 70k miles so the spark plugs do not need to be changed yet. The Jeep dealership recommended I replace Spark plugs because they were "already right in the area to do them" but I declined because the spark plugs are newer and the dealership wanted too much money. I will check the spark plugs myself to double check they still look good but they are good up to 150k miles. **** are the charges i'm seeking reimbursement for from Take 5. $64.53 for the oil change that was done incorrectly by Take 5. $397.47 to have my engine worked on by my local Jeep dealership. I would like to have a scope done on my engine to inspect for damage from the low oil (cost not yet determined).

1/7/2023 Oil Change and Air Filter Replacement $119.61 Turned into having to take the car to Liberty Chevrolet because the the check engine light, traction light and stablitrac light came on after leaving Take 5 Oil Change. The car completely stopped while the car was in reverse. Liberty Chevrolet diagnosed the issue as a result from Take 5 Oil Change. The air filter cover was loose and MAF sensor was cleaned. The total amount paid for the correction was $341.70. The manager of Liberty Chevrolet would not let me drive off the premises, therefore, they provided a complementary vehicle while my car was being fixed.I returned to Take 5 Oil Change to show the manager, ***, the invoice from Liberty Chevrolet. He said it was not their problem. He gave me the General Managers phone number, *****************, ************. I informed *** that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB to which he replied thats fine.
