I was referred to this business "Dr. Fix it" and he arrived on time but I was under the impression he would charge me a "Service Call" * which was $120) but later like 20 minutes, I found out that was just a "Walk through the door" fee not a "Service fee", it wasn't untill he had messed around with my machine for 20 minutes then quoted me a price for two parts we didn't need and then said we would owe a whopping $320 I asked for what, he said the service call was $240 plus parts whick I told him that is not what I was told. So I asked him if I could purchase the parts as my hubby would fix our machine and he agreed but the I watched him remove a part from the machine which he said was on his van * he was actually removing a part he had already installed) and when I asked what he was doing he said nothing and I said I thought they were in your van! He removed the parts, would not put the machine back together and still charged me over $200 and hadn't even been than an hour. Come to find out we never needed those parts after all just an adjustment to the clutch under the machine which was causing the noise,! My hubby quickly diagnosed and fixed the machine with a little help from u-tube! Very unhappy with that technician, big ripoff, trying to take advantage of people and very cocky attitude! Will never use this service again and shame on Maytag for recommending, must be getting a kickback*?)
