Im a single parent and this was my first vehicle purchase. All I can say is that this has been a nightmare situation.I purchased a vehicle from ********************* of Auto Salvage LLC off ******** Marketplace on 5/1/23. My Father and I met ****; we looked at it and pointed out several small/obvious issues =and he described some of the other issues and potential methods for ** to fix them. After the test drive, I felt comfortable purchasing the car and made an offer he accepted, and for which I paid in cash. The car did not have an updated safety check, reg., or plates, but I was told the Title was good. It was too late in the day to get the safety inspection or reg. completed, so I drove home.On 5/2, I took it to get the safety check done and get the Title and Reg. completed. At city hall they told me that the Title I had was not the most recent and it was useless. The current Title had been created in Oct 2022, before the car came into Auto Salvage LLCs possession, but they did not have it! Apparently Auto Salvage LLC (****) had purchased it from an auction house (Copart), which makes the lack of having the current Title very suspicious. When I told ****, he seemed willing to help me find out where the updated Title was and assured me that he would be giving me update. After a more than 2 weeks of stress, phone calls and many messages back and forth, **** still hasnt received the Title from the previous owner or given it to me.**** keeps telling me that the original owner is in possession of the current Title, and that Copart and Auto Salvage LLC are making progress on retrieving it - meanwhile I am stuck with a vehicle that I cant use legally!Ive asked for a refund on the car multiple times and been rejected. I am also being stonewalled as to when the situation will finally be resolved. At this point I literally dont know what to do! I wish I had never seen this cars advertisement let alone chose to do business with ********************* and Auto Salvage LLC!
