1 starI bought a **** Mustang EcoBoost here in 2023. Although I had financing in-hand, they ran my credit 8 times, tanking my credit score, and charged 10k more than the price of the vehicle. Letting bygones be bygones. On the back end is where I'm seeing Honolulu Ford's colors solidify, and what's prompting me to report to the *************************** I have been dealing with getting an unused extended warranty refunded from them after selling said Mustang privately, which was permitted in my contract. Honolulu Ford has been dishonest and unethical throughout the entire process, dragging their feet over a mere $3900 refund. (Chump change to them, but here in ******, a month and a half of my livelihood which I can't simply front to get out from under the loan.) They fraudulently claimed that they cancelled the extended service contract with **** Service Corporate (verified lie). I went ahead and cancelled it myself, returning to the dealership for either a check or further paperwork on sending the refund check directly to my lienholder. I was assured they would send the refund in check form later in the day. Fast forward 4 weeks, and after numerous calls from **** Service Corporate on my behalf, they finally claimed that they "never sent the refund anywhere" because "they didn't know where to send it". Meanwhile... they are on the lien. Now I have the buyer chomping at the bit for the title, which I can't give him until the refund hits the last bit of the loan. It shouldn't take several months to get a small refund to leave this business, let along process with the bank.I was warned to not buy with these guys. If you're reading, please, don't do it. I hear the most ethical **** dealer on Oahu is Windward.Review fromJason C

1 starMy experience at Honolulu Ford was a disaster. Their lack of communication, mishandling of my car, and poor service are unacceptable. Do not trust Honolulu Ford with your service needs.I recently had a terrible experience with the service department at Honolulu Ford. On June 3, 2024, I dropped off my car for a routine 60,000-mile service, expecting it to take 4-5 hours. Instead, it turned into a frustrating three-week ordeal. From the start, *******************, failed to keep me updated. I had to call to find out a technician had broken something and damaged one of my wheels. They needed to keep my car overnight. *** said they needed to order a part and find someone to repair the wheel. Days passed with no updates. My calls went unanswered, so I had to visit the dealership in person. As my patience wore thin, I met with Service Manager ***********. He promised to take care of everything and have my car ready by the end of the week. When Thursday came, **** informed me they couldnt repair the wheel and decided to replace it instead. When I finally picked up my car, nothing **** promised was fulfilled. I was charged over $1,200 for the service, with only a minimal discount after complaining. Worse, I found service papers for another customer and was charged for their service. My engine bay was covered in oil, and the oil change reminders weren't reset.I really wanted to give Honolulu Ford a chance, but my experience has been extremely disappointing. I emailed **** Le several times with no response. When General Manager ********************* asked me to email her, she also failed to respond after two follow-**** This shows that Honolulu Ford does not prioritize excellent customer service and will not take responsibility for their actions and the damages caused.Due to this, I will be escalating my issues beyond the dealership to ensure they reimburse me for all the damages.Review fromNoel T

GM ********************* left her number on this site. I've called her twice now and I'm still waiting for a return call.Review fromJose G

1 starSeptember 26th- **** Recall Concierge reached out to me regarding an issue with my 2022 F150 Lighting- High Voltage Module (SOC3W4). The recall concierge was terrific. They made an appointment for me to set up a vehicle and possibly Pick up and drops off. It was all part of the recall and needed no dealer inspection per the recall bulletin and the recall concierge. For one whole week, I tried to call the assigned service representative per the concierges instruction. She answered once and told me shed call me back, but she never did. October 2nd- When my appointment came, I asked her why she had not called me, trying to give her an opportunity to explain or apologize. SHE TOLD ME IF I WAS GOING TO GIVE HER A HARD TIME, I'D HAVE TO GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I told her no; I needed my truck fixed. SHE MUMMBLED UNDER HER BREATH AN INSULT AND ASSIGNED ME SOMEONE ELSE. I wished I got her name but I was so livid that I didnt get it. For reference she the service rep with the terrible attitude next to fey. You cant miss her. I am waiting in the lobby for another ******************************************************** I got *******************. My interaction with her was brief and cordial, but I did not hear from her for the entire next week. November 29th- 2 MONTHS LATER. I finally picked up my truck. In between the drop-off and pick-up, I emailed the service manager, ***********, to tell him about my terrible experience. NO REPLY.Both **** Recall Concierge and I filed complaints against this dealership. *********** told me theyve never experienced service from a dealership before. BTW, MY CAR HAD MULTIPLE SYSTEM FAULTS WHICH REQUIRE A NEW SERVICE APPOINTMENT (OBVIOUSLY I WENT SOMEWHER ELSE) AND THEY CHARGE **** CORPORATE FOR WINDSHIELD WIPER THAT I DID NOT NEED OR ASK FOR-FRAUD!!!Review fromMarley M

1 starIf I had a choice of no stars I would put 0 starts!!! We got a used 2016 ********** from Honolulu ford back in 2022. Inside of the car was all messed up, ceiling falling off , inside was dirty . Still till this day we have not fixed anything because why fix something we didnt mess up. Anyways We were given contract for maintenance fees etc and we already had this car over a year NOT ONCE DID WE EVER GO TO HONOLULU FORD FOR AN OIL CHANGE OR ANYTHING BUT YET THEY CHARGED US 2,100$ in maintenance fees or sum. We had no clue. All they told was us was put a high down ************ could drive the car off the lot. At that time we did not have a car so obviously we needed a car to get around. Its 2024/20/1 and we still havent taken this car to Honolulu for for anything. Yet we were still charged the day we got the car for maintenance fees. Idc how or who but imma need that refund back. I wish we never went to Honolulu ford because now were stuck with a vehicle that the inside is all messed up (we got it like that), makes a lot of noise, they didnt even clean the car when we got it it was dirty and dusty etc , and I refuse to go back to Honolulu ford for anything unless its to return this car get my refund and not deal with them anymore. I want my hard working money BACK!Review fromBen S

1 starI had problems with my car and took it in for a diagnosis. They came to the conclusion that my entire engine needed to be replaced because the engine "exhibited low oil pressure". I asked if there was any incremental repair that could be made besides a $10,000 engine replacement and was told that they saw no other option. I towed my car to another repair shop and got a second opinion. After a common repair, a fuel pump replacement, my car was up and running. If you're mechanically inclined, I'm sure you're thinking how can you mistake signs of poor fueling for low oil pressure, especially when the computer is detecting fuel sensor codes? They are liars. When I needed a trusting mechanic to help my family in a time of need, they straight up lied to me and tried to take a large chunk of money in the process. I will never trust this dishonest dealership.Review fromJustin R

1 starI hope all the other **** dealerships on island aren't like this one. I hope they aren't in cooperation to set unrealistic "market" driven markups on their vehicles. My initial salesperson at Honolulu Ford was ********. He was awesome. He had me on the way to a **** Maverick. He was very transparent with me throughout the whole process and explained to me the nitty gritty of the taxes and fees. He did not rush me or condescend to me like ***** and ******** main complaint with this place is they wanted me to pay 10k over the msrp on a production model car. Please investigate.Review fromJadelyn K.

1 starIf I could give them negative stars I would!! It should NOT take 2 months to follow up and see if our warranty cancellation went through. NO ONE will answer the phone, leave you on hold for over an hour (I screen recorded proof) and NO ONE WILL EVER RETURN YOUR CALL. We bought a used car from them, the interest rate was RIDICULOUS!! ****% like seriously. A car that is worth $18k was marked up to 30k and will cost us at the end of the loan $60k ?? FOR A 2017 ***** Accord LX!!! This company is the absolute worst dealership in ALL OF ******!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!
