    On 6/26/2023, I ate at scratch kitchen and meatery at **** villages. I wanted to use my gift card as payment. (I received the gift card in 2018 but there is no expiration date stated on my card)Server took my card and said they no longer accept this gift card because its a different owner. I said oh. Ok. And paid with my debit card. Im bothered because there is nothing on my gift card that is different about stating that it wont be valid if theres a different owner. The name of the business is exactly stated on the gift card. I would understand a little better if they now called the business scratch kitchen 2. Then I can see that my gift card and the name of the business is not the same. Where did this money for my gift card go? Its valued at $50. Did the company just get free money from the person that gave me this gift?Is it right for them to decline the use of my gift card because its a new owner? I would suggest that if it is a new POS system that doesnt recognize this old gift card, that they honor it by creating another tender calling it old gift card so people like me can use it
