      KonaTrans on the Big Island of ****** should never be used for household moving. I had a horrible and frustrating experience with the crew of warehousemen that showed up in a too-small van and, admittedly, no experience moving a household of furniture and boxes.They didnt follow my directions on how to handle items and consequently caused damages that I conservatively estimated using receipts of over $7800.00. Furniture, lamps, fine art, etc. one of the crew even stole a one-of-a-kind carved table lamp, which KonaTrans did not show interest in pursuing. They didnt use packing blankets in the van, either their own or the heavy ones I offered. I managed the crew as best I could with the time I could spend doing it, but I couldnt teach them how to do their job. The van sent out was not the large one I requested, but a small one, which consequently required 3 trips into **** instead of one. This cost me more time and money. It took 6 months of back-and-forth to get a commitment of a check for $441.00. Thats all I get.I urge the public to find anyone but KonaTrans to hire for moving.

      Kona Trans knew about our shipment on Monday that was arriving on Wednesday. Arrived on Wednesday as expected and I didn't receive a call until Thursday afternoon telling us the soonest they could deliver it was next Tuesday. Taking them almost a full week to deliver something 29 minutes away. And on top of it the dispatcher was not apologetic at all and instead seemed happy to tell me they wouldn't be delivering it for another 5 days.
