Total scam. **** fires burnt down the stay we planned on being at. MPP notified me that they would refund me with the exception of admin fees, VRBO fees, and credit card fees. Totaling $1,500. I got upset and they put my phone number on a block list.

BEWARE BEFORE YOU BOOK My husband and I have been visiting Maui and staying at the ****** for the past ************************************************ ****** #**** on multiple occasions, most recently in October 2021. We like it so much that in January of 2022 we again booked ****** #**** on VRBO for travel in March of 2023. In June, we received an email from Maui Paradise Properties advising that they were the new property management company for ****** #****. The email stated that they would be honoring our original booking and would be working with the prior property management company on the backside, presumably to provide for a seamless transition. Four months later, however, after we had already purchased our airline tickets and booked our car rental, we received another email from Maui Paradise Properties advising that they would NOT be honoring our original reservation after all. Rather, they advised that, per the contract with the owner, if we wanted to keep our reservation we would need to pay a new, much higher rate. Otherwise, they would cancel our booking and refund our deposit. Because we felt it was completely inappropriate to have to pay more money for a reservation we had already made months prior, the booking was canceled and we began scrambling to find another available unit - one not managed by Maui Paradise Properties. I dont know if it was the owner or Maui Paradise Properties or both who made the decision not to honor our booking. Regardless, to advise a guest 10 months after booking their reservation that it will be canceled unless we agree to pay a significantly higher rate is not only terrible customer service, it is unethical and may also be illegal. The fact that the owner changed property management companies months after we had booked the unit should have had no impact on our existing reservation. I strongly recommend you think twice before booking ****** #**** or ANY property managed by Maui Paradise Properties.

We are so sorry for any inconvenience that you have experienced with the change of the management company. We understand the frustration on having to wait for the full deposit to be refunded. Maui Paradise Properties (MPP) refunded you within a week 4 days the portion of the deposit that we had received. We reached out to Vacasa for the remaining amount of the deposit you had initially given them, this took weeks to get resolved. We were sending emails to them daily asking for assistance on the refund for this guest. We stayed connected with you (the guest) concerning this and CC'd you on the emails we were sending to Vacasa. ****** confirmed that they had the balance of your deposit and would refund it back to you. They unfortunately do not follow timeline requirements. There were 24 emails between Vacasa, you (the guest) and MPP between Oct. 6- Nov 11. We all knew that we (MPP) was diligently working on refunding you the full deposit. MPP did not receive the full deposit from Vacasa, we were not involved with the original booking of this reservation. However, we worked on behalf of the guest to make sure that ****** refunded you the portion that was not paid to Maui Paradise Properties. It is unfortunate that you had to wait for the remainder of the deposit, we did have it refunded in full within the month of the cancelation. Please know we are having tremendous issues with ****** and feel they are simply under performing and delaying these types of issues without justification.Again, we do apologize for your difficulties, we wish we could have made this smoother for you. However, we do not believe the one-star review applies to MPP, we went out of our way to help you with the return of your deposit from the company that you originally booked with.

Thank you for your response. However, the main reason for my one-star review is because when you took over the management of the property in June, you sent me an email wherein you specifically stated that you would be honoring our original reservation. Then, four months later, after we had already purchased our airline tickets, booked our car rental, etc. you sent another email advising that you would not be honoring our original booking. The one start rating is because you are not true to your word and do not honor your commitments,

BEWARE!!! I hardly ever post reviews, but I think people need to be aware of how this company is run and treats its clients. I booked a condo in ****** through VRBO back in March. I received an email from Maui Paradise Properties at the beginning of June stating:"We are the new property management for ****** and we are reaching out to confirm your reservation information. We have agreed to honor your reservation as originally booked"Looking back, I should have immediately cancelled the reservation to save myself a lot of time and money. I just took their word for it, and moved on about my day. Now let's jump four months later to the beginning of October when I received another email from Maui Paradise Properties stating:"We are reaching out to you regarding your reservation. Please be advised that we are not honoring any reservations that have been transferred over to us at the original price. Per the contract with the owner, all reservations, if transferring over to us will need to booked at market price. With this being said, we are writing to advise that there is a price difference in your reservation and should you want to keep your reservation dates the difference will need to be paid by you."This is not exactly what you want to see when your trip is a little over two months away, during one of the busiest travel times of the year. They were asking for nearly $3,000 on top of what we had already agreed. Basically at this point I wanted to get ahold of someone at Maui Paradise Properties to sort all of this out, which is nearly impossible. Before I finish up, I did want to point out two things that really stuck out to me while dealing with Maui Paradise Properties: 1) One of the actual Partners of the company called me and assured me he was going to be looking into this issue and call me back that same day...Guess what...No call... 2) Not ONE person in this company ever apologized. On a happy note, I have successfully found an even better property :)

Stayed at ********* Plantation serviced by Maui paradise properties. We had booked a 3 bedroom with air conditioning in the amenities list. However, one sleeping room had no air conditioning for the duration of our trip. They had no actual solutions for us so I asked for a partial refund which they agreed to. However, a month later and I still have not received a credit. I had to get VRBO involved and they said no one at Maui Paradise Properties forwarded my issue to the right department. Basically you get the run around with each company blaming the other. No one really cares about the customer experience or doing the right thing.
