I first started going when I purchased my first car and have since bought all my cars there. They were transparent during buying and the service department has been spectacular (plus, popcorn while waiting)

*********************** - who is a finance manager is a complete LIAR, UN-ETHICAL person that youd probably be better off working with anyone but him. Mind you I started off saying I DO NOT WANT of the extra insurance, even asked the salesman for him to skip that as I went in knowing I did NOT want it.He stated I HAD to have GAP which was $941, as my lender REQUIRED, I questioned it, he stated it again, REQUIRED When your 80% loan to value you can remove it. I called my lender the next morning. Guess what they were confused why I was asking this question as I was only at 73% loan to value and stated it was NOT REQUIRED.I go to the dealer to figure out why he said it was REQUIRED, hes response is he suggested it. It was the lender protection you could have declined it. 100% LIAR and he knows it. I insisted he called the bank and do the paperwork correctly and magically they re-did everything correctly. Crazy how I wasn't required to have GAP! Will be filling a complaint with BBB and **** attorney general.Did not even get an apology, if youre going to lie and get caught at least own up to it. Salesman *********************** gets the sale and leaves you high and dry. He exact response to the horrible experience Unfortunately I dont have any part in that. Not even a sorry or let me see what I can do.Thats not what you want to in a car buying experience is it, being lied to and left high and dry? Think twice before buying from them or at least who you work with!

      *******,

Our General Manager has since been in touch with you to hear more about the dialogue between you and ***********************.  ****** has been with our dealership for several years and this is the first complaint about him we have received like this.  We have offered to completely unwind the sale as the sales experience provided to you was not up to our dealerships expectations.  We appreciate you taking the time to share details of your experience with our management team.  This feedback allows us to take corrective action within our organization so that we can continue to improve our guest experience.  Please contact DJ Deery, our General Manager, at ************ if there is anything else needed.

This place is not a good place to buy a car from. The customer service from the very start was not good at all. The person we talked to was one of the Deery family members. He was very rude to my wife when she was asking for information. He was very short and was starting to raise his voice and said in a **** voice, Well, you didnt talk to me after my wife was bringing up total price. He told my wife that because we were coming from out of state he was going to charge us an extra $1,000. We were charged that amount. Because we were from out of state, had no trade in and were paying in cash we had 3 strikes. They then gave us an out the door price. When we got there they raised the price on us again. We ended up splitting the cost with the salesman as we felt bad he had to pay for the mistake.

With the scarcity of new Highlanders, and new cars in general, our company has taken the stance to hold onto our new car inventory to our local, previous customers. The demand for new cars far outweighs the supply and we dont have enough inventory to sell to our local cliental. Mr. and *********************** reached out to purchase a new Highlander that was allocated to us. I asked them where they were from, and they stated *********. I explained to them that as much as I would like to sell them the vehicle, I am saving my new car inventory to my local customers. They did not like that answer and begged and begged for me to sell it to them. After they wouldnt take no for an answer, I told them I would sell it to them but without a trade-in their price would be $1,000 over MSRP (still well below market value, as they are selling for more money than that on the used market). They were ecstatic and placed a deposit on the vehicle right away. They had agreed to $1,000 over MSRP plus tax, title and license fees. Beings they were out of state, and at the time we didnt know their exact tax, title and license fees, we sent them an out the door price with estimated fees. Fast forward 2 months later when their vehicle finally arrived, we added a hitch per their request and called them when it was ready to go. When they arrived, we had our title clerk figure exact tax, title and license fees and they were roughly $180 more than the amount we estimated for them 2 months prior. They said they shouldnt have to pay for the exact registration fees because we quoted them wrong. Once again, I explained to them that we had sent them an estimated out the door number and at the end of the day, we were selling the car for the price they agreed upon. They wanted us to eat the fee shortage, and I explained to them that I dont control what ********* charges you to register the vehicle thats an expense that you pay, and it doesnt matter who you by a car from but its a fee that your responsible for. I gave them two options 1) They could pay us for the agreed upon price of the vehicle and they could handle their own tax, title license fees back in ********* (would have led to the same outcome for registration expenses but at least this way it was between them and **) OR 2) I would cancel the deal and give them their deposit back. They didnt like either option. Of course, they wanted the vehicle (you couldnt get it anywhere else, and they can resell it for more than the purchase price), so they bought it and left. After they left, I found out that my sales associate paid them for half of the fees they were short ($90).

The level of disappointment that we have with Dan Deery is astounding. We have purchased 5+ vehicles from them. We purchased our last vehicle from them last week. The vehicle we purchased was very low priced and we had no expectations that it would be perfect. We did expect that any issues would be disclosed before purchase especially since we had trouble deciding between the one we got and another. We also expected that a vehicle that needs as much in repair cost as we paid for the actual vehicle would be labeled mechanic special we know that they do this. The vehicle broke down 15 minutes after we drove off the lot and they didn’t care at all. In fact, the attitude we got was ridiculous. Yes we sign a paper that they are not responsible but as a loyal customer who has all servicing done with them and only buys vehicles from them, we expected more. We expected honesty upfront about issues (which they had to know about unless they are mechanically incompetent).

SHADY DEALERSHIP- I wouldnt be purchasing a car here- Was so excited to see this used vehicle on a bright, sunny day. Instantly looking around the car I noticed a scratch/ dent on the trunk part but the salesman said it was just a sticker and could be buffed out- test drove just fine. The salesman said that the dealer needed to get rid of the car because they had it for too long- but once again didn't disclose the damage-Came back with my husband and he noticed the scratch/ dent on the back of the vehicle and when he asked the sales guy he said oh i didnt notice... then came back with a form saying that the dealer isnt responsible for any issues the car has once purchased. Unhappy about this we bought the car and were only given 1 key ( other one lost). Then brought the vehicle home to notice there was major hail damage- 9k and up worth of damage. That wasnt even counting the damage on the trunk part of the vehicle. Tried to correspond with the ** but he kept blaming us for not being hail inspectors- The collision repair place we took it too said it would have been impossible to see the damage on sunny day- The non- disclosure of the 9k worth of hail damage is WRONG!!! And to blame the customer for not seeing the damage because they dont want to take the car back tells me that the INTEGRITY of this dealership should be questionable, to say the least. They havent made it right yet... this isnt how business should be conducted-*** Deery needs to make this right-

When we sell a vehicle to a customer, we disclose any hidden damage that we are aware of that cant be seen. Visible damage on the exterior can be seen by the customers and needs to be addressed during the sale negotiations. There are all types of scratches, nicks, and dents on used vehicles. Many people purchase used vehicles with these exterior flaws and either have us fix it or take care of it themselves. These types of vehicles have already been discounted from what would have been a higher price. As to the ******** price to repair the hail damage, that seems to be much higher than it would take to repair it. Our GM spoke to ************** and told her that he could arrange to get the vehicle fixed for much less.

This is not a truthful depiction of what took place- the dealership- at no time disclosed the hail damage( clearly not seen or spoken of) and told me that the dent/ scratch on the trunk would be easily buffed out( which never happened) - the hail estimate was actually more then 9k - according to the collision specialist. This vehicle was a good deal prior to knowing of the hail damage- the ** discussed picking the vehicle up to get his own estimate because his was cheaper then ours I suppose. So why couldnt he just use my detailed estimate and show it to his estimator and tell us what the damage would cost- clearly the dealership, as stated by the salesman, needed to get rid of this vehicle because they had it too long. This was a horrible experience and seems to be pretty fraudulent-

We have bought several vehicles from Dan deery Toyota. Was happy with our first purchase but it was a Toyota so that is probally why it was good . Anyways we have bought two vehicles within a year . The first one was never disclosed that it was in a major accident. So we were gonna try to trade it in low and behold the other dealers wont give us anything for it because of the major accident. This company ripped us off period . Sold us a ***** dollar car just because the miles were low now we are stuck because of this accident that it has . I get it the car was sold as is but this stuff needs to change with laws about disclosing accidents . *** deery only worrys about people that have money or buy new cars dont care about anything else . I will be reporting this everywhere I can so people know this company rips people off and takes advantage of them . My second car I bought this year overpriced needed all new front end parts the rear shocks were completely rusted almost off the truck . I promise I will never ever buy a car from these guys again . I work for **** Deere I make decent money but also have 4 kids to feed . I dont have a bunch of money to spend on a brand new car . I will get the word out about this and show all my recipients that the cars needed . DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY DOBT CARE ABOUT YOU ONLY YOUR MONEY . Unless your buying a new car . I have learned a big ****** from this always ask for the car fax and never trust a big dealership.

Dear ****************,It is very common that vehicles have accident history, especially on vehicles that have been on the road for 10 years or more like the one you purchased. We double-checked to make sure that the title of your vehicle was clean, which it is. Every one of our vehicles has an autocheck history report that is attached to the listing. This is available to every customer, on every vehicle we have listed. We cannot help how another dealership evaluates their vehicles, but we do not take an accident on a 10 year old vehicle into consideration during the appraisal process. If you want to trade it in with us, you will not be docked at all for the accident history.

Not a single employee knows how to do their job, you have to call daily and do their job for them to just lie to you. They don't inspect the cars before sale, they sell voided warranties and refuse to back it up, and after theyre done stealing as much from you as possible they will lead you on a wild *********** for over 6 months to get only the warranty money back. and by get the warranty back i mean they will lie and say they are cancelling but refuse to do anything. This dealership is the epitome of a stealership and all negative stereotypes that come with sales. avoid at all costs as they are scammers.
