I scheduled a move with Quad City Dudes on September 20th to be scheduled for October 25th. I received a confirmed quote for the move to take between 1.5hrs - 2.5hrs at $130/hr. I then followed up on October 14th to see if they had availability on Monday the 24th of October instead. They advised yes and we rescheduled the move for the 24th at 11:30am. Later on they called to ask if we could move the time to 3pm as they had another move that was going to run late. I was okay with the time change. The movers called me at 2:38pm to advise they were on the way to the apartment. I asked if I needed to be there or as I had left the door unlocked if they could just enter, they said they could enter. At 3pm they called and were at the apartment. At 3:53pm they advised they were heading to the new house and at 4:42pm the move was completed and payment of $520 was requested. As I have moved with this company before and was aware they charge a per pound fee on the truck I assumed the fee was for weight. Upon receiving the reciept I found I was charged for a 4 hour minimum move at $150/hr. I reached out to the company right away asking for an explanation to which they said they recently changed ownership and had new policies in place. After telling them I was not made aware of the new policy to which they acknowledged it was made after my initial booking, they became unresponsive. I followed up a few more times and finally disputed part of the charge on my CC. The owner of the company called me again acknowledging I wouldn't have been made of aware of the changes in policy and agreed with my dispute. Two days later I received a message from my CC that the company was fighting the dispute and did not agree.
