All these complaints about Medico/Wellabe are because people do not understand the process and they apparently have horrible insurance advisors they are working with, including the lady who is an insurance agent below. She should know how to get the proper documents required which is a UB-04. The hospital will provide a UB-04 without issue. All you need to do is ask for an itemized bill or use the term UB-04 when you speak to them and you will receive. None of these issues are hard to resolve and to slam Medico/Wellabe for user error is kind of unfair. Please locate an agent to help you who actually knows what they are doing. I have been working with Medico for years and they are an amazing company to work with and they have been fantastic at helping me as a broker as well as my clients. I actually tell my clients the proper way to submit hospital indemnity and cancer/critical care claims the first time to avoid this nonsense these people are complaining about. My name is *************************** policy number 00GWF0162562 There has been somebody by the name of ***************************** filed insurance under my bank account in my name this is fraud!!!.I am a older lady that sometimes does get sick and I would really appreciate someone getting on top of this immediately as I would like to retract this review in hopes that you are a good standing company. I repeat one more time this is fraud on my account I have no idea who this person is and I need all funds refunded to me right away ASAP please contact me I will come back on here every couple days to see if you have responded Feel free to leave a message if I do not answer and we can schedule a time while I will be waiting for your call. I am hoping that we can resolve this otherwise I am going to spend my retirement time writing about how this company does not care about older people and theyre allowing people to file insurance under someone elses name. I was told this was an add on to my ******** coverage that pays $250 for any visit to ** or any surgeries. Dec 2023 I submitted 4 claims for the year and spent 3 months sending in and resending paperwork. I stopped paying my premium in March because the company is so awful to work with. I was never paid for the ** visits and today (5-17-24) I called and they told me they werent paid because the visits were not injury related I was passing kidney stones. I paid this company $48 a month for almost 5 years. If I didnt contact them there was absolutely no communication. Please dont waste your money with them. This has been sooooo frustrating.

After 48 yrs of payia little $5,000 policy, American Republic/Wellabe paid $820!! ..claiming that at 70 years of age the policy benefit was reduced while the premium apparently remained the same. Just another deceptive practice targeting the public, the **************** and perpetuating large corporations offering one thing while giving consumers much less than they pay for. Wellabe needs to be reprimanded and made to stop this deception immediatelyWellabe, Inc Response

I have had an Hospital Indemnity and Cancer policy with Wellabe since 2020 and never filed a claim. Now I have had to go to emergency and also diagnosed with Lung Cancer. I submitted a claim November 15th and sent all the reports from hospital and doctors. THEY STILL HAVEN'T PAID! NOW THEY ASK FOR THINGS I CAN'T GET LIKE A ITEMIZED ****!!! ITS ALL A SET AMOUNT THEY PAY AND HAVE ** BUSINESS ASKING FOR THAT AND ITS JUST TO DELAY PAYING ME!! THEY ARE A HORRIBLE COMPANY AND MAKING MY LIFE MISERABLE!!! I'm a Insurance Agent and know all about Indemnity insurance and each event is paid a specific amount and I sent them everything and they take a month or more to even look at claim and then decide on finding their need for more information! Con artist scammers are the staff, so they stole payments & saying they work for Great Western Insurance company in Iowa. I can't prepay for my funeral cause can't get an Escrow due to fake company, con artist staff as of 2022, agents in Philadelphia for the GWIC has con artist fake names,, wrong addresses & emails, & company change name to America Republic or did they.Wellabe, Inc Response
