I sent our taxes in to be done on 4.3.23. When I went to drop them off on 3.31.23, there was a paper in their packet that stated the deadline to have taxes filed by 4.15.23, was 3.16.23. No email regarding this deadline went out to existing customers, there was no notice posted in their website. They no longer allow in-person taxes. In order for Tax Doctor to complete my taxes, I had to pay $100 for them to file an extension that would apply to their fee. I was informed at drop-off, on 4.3.23, that my taxes were looking to be completed by the end of April with my return likely arriving in May. We have since called three times and they only information Phillip Stubbs and Donna McCrawley can provide is that they are getting to the taxes in the order that they were received. I have asked if there was a reason (ie: staffing issue) that the taxes were so delayed, what number in-line they were or when I could expect them to be completed and all I get is that they're in processing. There is no explanation as to why this is so drawn out or where my taxes are.
