We moved to our new home in Sept 24, '21. New sod had been laid about a week prior. I reached out to Hardy in Nov. '21 to purchase a shed. The total cost was $2,733.30. We were required to make a down payment of $960. This was paid and an invoice dated 12/9/2021 reflected our down pymt received and a balance of $1,773.30 due after delivery. We were told the same day that the projected time frame to build the shed and deliver it was 4 - 6 weeks. I did not follow up on the status of the shed until 2/19/2022, approximately 10 weeks after our last discussion about the shed. During this time there was no communication from Hardy about the shed. I emailed on 2/19, called the week of 2/21 and left a message then emailed again on 3/1. I finally received a response on 3/1 saying the email response was stuck in their outbox but the shed was ready. Delivery was scheduled for 3/9. The shed arrived pre built as expended on a flatbed pulled by a pick-up. Hardy uses a small skid loader to unload the sheds. *** and my husband agreed on the route *** would take through the yard. My husband thought the skid loader would be used to unload/place the shed. Instead the pick up truck and trailer were backed onto the sod and then the shed was attempted to be unloaded. The ground had already thawed. The truck and trailer did severe damage to the new sod. At the time (some snow still on the ground) my husband agreed to allow Hardy to "make it right". Never received any details on how they would do this. After the snow melted it was apparent that the damage was more extensive than we thought. We requested an estimate to repair it from the company who laid the sod and gave it to Hardy on 3/29. They indicated they would not pay for the repair but no details on how they would fix the yard. Emails were exchange on 4/4 then silence. I followed up on 4/25 with a revised estimate for the worst of the damage and gave 10 biz days to respond. As of today still no response.
