    I hired Two Men and a Truck from ********* **** for 2 moves. One to move my things into storage and then later to move from storage to my new home. I was promised careful packing. Everything was to be wrapped in blacker and furniture in shrink wrapped. I have witnessed to this packing and move, I got a huge storage unit so the furniture would not have to be stacked, Nithing was wrapped in blankets and they used half of the unit, stacking the furniture from the floor to the ceiling. Things were broken, nothing was put together and I had a ******** ******** chair which is handmade to last a lifetime under normal ware and tear. There was a spot on the chair which I could have gotten out, when the chair arrive at the destination, the chair had been washed. It was ruined, ************** of this company was rude and difficult to talk to. They sent someone from the *********** company to fix things and he was amazing. He didnt go near the chair. They asked for a sum to settle and I was tired sick of hearing about them talk about how old my chair was. I gave them a low ball figure. They sent a check with a letter saying they were with me until I was completely satisfied. I just took the ******** Chair into a furniture repair who deals with ******** furniture. The repair bill is going to be ********. The owner showed me where they had ripped the fabric open to wash it. It was sewn back together with different color thread. There were small nails in the chair to repair the damage from stacking and the wood had been stranded. I wrote the company and their corporate company to ask for ******** to help pay for the repair. I havent heard from anyone. In reading the letter, I see that it says if the check is cashed they are finished with me. I am 74 years old and have been taken advantage of from day one by this company. I would like the money to help pay for the repair of the chair.

    We have tried to work with ****, we actually have a paper in this that she wrote up and that says if we send her the amount she asked for we would be done and she cashed the check. Thank you

    I am rejecting this response because:
    I did not sign a paper saying I was finished with them as they said.  I cashed the check but they wrote me a letter with the check saying that they would be with me until I was satisfied.  The ********* man was wonderful and helpful.  I followed the instructions I pulled up for an interstate move online.  While I may have been difficult to work with, they were impossible to work with.  I dont see any documentation on their part except typewritten emails.  I have photographs and witnesses from the first day of my move.

    So far this is the third time you have accused someone from this company of going to YOUR STORAGE UNIT and bleaching your chair, told ***** he did it on purpose, you gave us the amount you wanted we sent check,You were also give a 180-dollar discount on your first move. Unfortunately, the age and normal wear of the chair does come into consideration, you had even advised you had bought it secondhand decades ago. I apologize for your experience. There is nothing else we can do. 6200 dollars is the original cost of a chair years ago and the repair is to make brand new, and you were already given 600 dollars you asked for towards the chair. At this point we feel you have been treated fair and compensated appropriately. Thank you for your business
