    Enlisted a company and put in a work order for repairs on my home. Checked the ****** Site and ******** Page, and seemed legitimate. Paid 1/2 on debit card through an app and placed a work order through an app- both seemed secure and stated that they were secure- and havent heard from them since for the work appointment. We believe we were scammed.

    On November 29, 2023, I requested a contractor in ****.com to repair a refrigerator ice maker and replace a washing machine boot seal. On November 30, I received a cell phone text from "*****," telling me that he was trying to claim the job but the **** site was not letting him. He was quick to provide directions to quit ****.com to "work directly with me." Afterward, he charged me $504.63 for parts for both appliances and half of his labor, to my credit card. Then, we had three different dates scheduled fir him/his technician to perform the work, but each time, he cancelled with very limited notice. My family members went out of their way to help me be sure that someone would be at the house for the work, but each time, he cancelled. The last time, he claimed that he could do the work on Sunday, December 31, 2023. I asked him what time, and he never got back to me. On Friday, December 29, he contacted me and apologized, and asked if I wanted a refund. I said yes, I wanted a full refund. He said he would make the transaction "when I get back to the office this evening." I have checked with my credit card each day since then, but there has been no refund. I have attached PNG copies of all our communications, all by text. They di not answer either of their phone numbers; instead it goes directly to voice mail;
